The May issue of Kodansha's Afternoon magazine is announcing on Wednesday that manga creator Daisuke Igarashi will start a new series titled Designs in the following issue on April 25. The 60-page first chapter will include color pages.
The manga's tagline reads "This life, whose decision was it?"
The magazine teases the story: Those that stride across the land. Those that dance across the skies. Those that are ensconced in water. What "entity" has been designed as the best form of life? The disturbing situation unfolding deep in the forest will shock the natural world and humanity!!

For reference: His´s Kaijuu no Kodomo was nominated for the 2008 and 2009 Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize, won a Japan Cartoonist Awards excellence award in 2009 and won an Excellence Prize from the Japan Media Arts Awards at the 2009 Japan Media Arts Festival.
