I suppose I've just read one too many shoujos because the blushing and overreacting to flirting that seems to happen every second page is starting to annoying me. What I'm hoping to find is a romance where when one character flirts the other flirts back!. Instead of running away or blushing profusely or hitting the other person. Something, perhaps where they flirt but nothing happens for a while, like each is daring the other - to see how far they'll go...

At this point I'm not looking for yaoi or yuri, please, other than that I'll try anything. Though I do seem to prefer shoujo/josei.

I'd say Bloody Cross would match, though the main focus isn't romance. (And sorry, it's not shoujo.)

mrgh... this is really hard...
I'm sure there is one out there, but I don't know it.
Some of ADACHI Mitsuru's stuff is pretty good though.
It's mostly shounen, but the romance is there, and it's different. It doesn't do the blushes, which is nice.
