Anyways back to the ending I love how it ended. Takara said it best after the karate tournament, he admitted that he was selfish and that he knew that his actions would eventually hurt Hikaru but he didn't put her well being first. If you go back and re-read moe Kare you will notice that most of Takara's affectionate moments where caused as a result of him trying to get ahead of Arata in winning Hikaru's affection and where not instigated out of the pure emotion of loving Hikaru. This is of course unlike Arata who loved hikaru completely and wished only for her happiness.
Also, I agree with alot of people that the whole bad guy turning nice is very cliched but the difference between this manga and all the others is that the mangaka gives you a reason for the change... You get to know Arata's sad background, always living in loneliness so it is understandable why he would grow up with this outer tough guy exterior and also this explains why he can love hikaru completely.

on the last chapter of page 26, wat was takara holding?? was it a ring? cus i dont think i remember ever seeing/reading takara giving Hikaru a ring..or maybe im wrong??

Also how come Arata calls Hikaru 'Hiyoko' but isnt her name Hikaru Wakamiya? So where did he get that name? and when did he start calling her by 'Hiyoko'?? ahh how i dont remember..lolz

but even though this series wasnt drama, i was really sad 🙁

I thought he started calling her that the first few chapters.

Hiyoko means little chick. But because Arata gave that nickname to his dog too, I decided to switch to the japanese one, Hiyoko instead of little chick ^_^ (because Hiyoko sounded more like a name and at the same time you knew the meaning of it....you know? all japanese names have a meaning, but names usually shouldn't be translated. names are names. or else "Hikaru" would become "Brilliant" ^^😉

The ring Takara was holding in ch34 is the one Takara bought back there in Xmas day, the day Ami saved takara. He kept it I guess. And I think his purpose was to give it to her if she accepted to go back to him. But since Hikaru choose Arata, he gave up.

IMHO the super cliché ending is "the first guy/girl who sees the girl/guy gets her/him".
Indeed he was Arata the first one she sees (when she is saved by some bullies), and indeed Arata gets her at the end. This rule is almost absolute. XD

the story is overall sweet and cute. i love the ending. in the beginning i really wanted her to be with takaru. but as i read on, i preferred arata. i like how he can't say his true feelings as well as being shy and nervous even though he has that bad boy side. 😛

That is Xactly how i felt about this story
i was so mad at arata through out the whole
story until the freak got hit by a bus and Takaru left
her PfFt then i switched sides pretty quick. I loved the
ending their kid was so cute !

I really liked the ending. I was guessing Arata would end up with her, but I have to say I started to doubt during chs. 31 and 32...

There were a couple times I wanted to punch Takara...but Arata did it for me =)

I liked Takara, but I didn't think he was right for Hikaru kind of for the reason he gave up on her (because Arata actually wanted Hikaru happy no matter what).

I love the baby at the end! it was so cute!

Anyway, i liked this manga overall. The love triangle was really complicated in some ways because it was hard to pick between the two guys (but i was rooting for Arata b/c he was a bad boy =P)

I like reading shoujo manga's that aren't too cliched. And Moe Kare was extremely cliched, but for some reason, i loved it sooo much.

It was deep and thoughtful, and it even managed to make me tear up in some parts...actually, i only teared up at all the Arata parts near the end. His little speech about wanted to make her happy and that her happiness was all he wanted...it just makes me tear up evertime i think about it!

Anyways......I'm glad she ended up with Arata becuase he does love her more, and he just seemed more compatible with her. But poor Takara, i hope he suceeds in medical school! 🤣
