I'm not sure if it has been done yet, but I was discussing this somewhere else and was curious about this, so I made this (of course, poll included)

In my case, it's usually with online friends, nobody in real life, unless it's some about some anime adaptation and they ask me about the manga. And some times here (now rarely used to be more frequently in the past)

I have some people irl who I talk occasionally (read: rarely) about anime/manga with, and I talk about it sometimes with the online peepz. It doesn't really interest me that much though and I find other subjects to be more interesting. :]

Some of the above. There are certain real life friends I talk about manga to. I also talk about manga to online friends and on forums. Sometimes even with family.

Basically just here in the MU forums for me. None of my IRL or online friends are really into manga. (I have a few that are into anime though.)

I know a few fellow addicts in real life, and I talk about manga often with them because that is usually what brought us together to begin with.

Otherwise, mostly online.

I talk about it with my brother and I have about 6 friends who I really only see once a week that all enjoy manga. Back in Thailand I always talked about manga with this girl sitting next to me during spanish class, and I wondered why I sucked at Spanish.

Lastly I also have the MU and other online chats where I can talk about manga and anime, but I rarely talk about those things lately I'm more interesting in things about life in general ^^

i usually get snappy when ppl irl ask me what im so interested about in cartoons and comics.... i cant really put it into words, and if i do, they usually lose interest, give me a sympathetic look, and move on.
not to mention i really hate ppl asking me what books i read or what interests me.... >_> 'ts annoying.

I didn't use to have someone to talk to about it but I once said I like reading manga while I was with some collegues and found out there were two guys who usually watched anime but didn't read manga. And one day we were talking about Bleach and some other random guy was passing by and said he also reads the manga and watches the anime.
Since then everytime we meet we talk about these things and the other two actually started to read mangas too.

None of my friends are really into manga or anime.
There is one guy that knows a bit about anime though, so sometimes I have a chat with him.

But most of the discussion happens online for me.

wat if its both....online and real life....cuz online i can talk here and stuff. and in real life i hav few friends who watch anime and read mangas so i can talk to them bout it....when i first started readin manga, i didnt kno anyone who read it but once i was in gym class and me and one of my friends was talkin bout Naruto the anime, and i was sayin tht he should read the manga...one of my other friends heard tht and said he reads the manga and thts when i found someone to talk to...this happened in 10th grade...i started reading mangas end of 8th grade

IRL, I mostly talk to my sister about manga (she's an addict, too ) 🙂 . Few of my friends read/watch manga/anime, but I rarely talk to them about it because they read different series than I do. 🤢

And of course, I talk about manga with my online friends and in forums. 😃
