I have no idea either. Ive seen no post from him in this topic for long.

Sorry. Appears i was looking at the wrong page. Still, you think itll be risky? The fanatics might fiddle with it, and call it their 'Regalia' and turns out to be their 'Regalia' of their demise.

i read something about the electric power drill. it said that there's some kind of gear or something that increase the torque of the drill. you guys think we can use it?

torque is for starting. it means that when the engine is nearly at stall (spinning very slowly) it can put out a helluva lot of power to not stop (drill going in a wall).

what we need is normal power, and high revolution specs, cause the wheels are going to spin really fast.

i got nothing. perhaps i do need to do a human sacrifice to make this works. j/k

normal power, and high revolution specs huh? what else do we need?

sorry. coz of exam and all, i don't get enough time to think about AT. not that i forget about it, just not enough time to figure new ideas. when my exams over, i'll dedicate my time for this. if i get new ideas, i'll post it right away. 😀

Im back people...back to help you guys out once again...

first we are gonna need some big skates so i found some pictures...
well a page with prices and sizes the skate brand is Remedyz :http://secure.rollerwarehouse.com/skates/aggressive/skates/v/remedyz/tx/11[03]RMZ/
I think these are the best because they have big boots and maybe buying a bigger skate size than your usuall skate size will be able to fit more in there have something to fill in the remaining space in the front of your boot and then you will fit in it as if it was your size..now see the problem is that what is gonna fill in the rest of the boot so you can skate as if it was your size......Now wheels what can we do with wheels...I dont know how big the wheels should be yet but im working on it..

Well i g2g for now I hope my info was helpful

I dont know if this has been suggested already but what i suggest is not having the skate produce actual power but using stored power from an external charger. I also suggest making the storage into a removable chip, that way, when not in use, the chip wont waste the charge like an ipod or psp does.

To everyone that has posted here and the soon to be posted in the future

I know i'm not actually building it and i shouldn't complain... but this has gone on for too long... this project is just to disorganized... someone needs to straighten this out...

we need teams and maybe start a whole website dedicated to the making of AT's

Ok and now to the other problems...

Will the motors be able to support the average human weight? lets say will it be able to accelerate from a standing start40mph in a few seconds with 140lbs170lbs on them? i don't think so...
so the person has to maybe do a running start? 😃
i don't think that we can simply use existing technology to make this because that is just to simple the prototype maybe... but to get actual results we need new technology specifically for things like AT's
and a chip? who said they even got that far...

from what i have read all it seems is that everyone here is trying to make AT's that you just merely put on and let em rip and that is exactly the problem...

a average human runs 10mph so on skates it would be faster so shouldn't the motors just supplement your speed and make it easier to maintain the speed... the engines are there only to reduce your effort by a little it is a sport ya know the skates aren't supposed to do all the work... >.> so 40mph is good at the moment even 30mph is good just a needed 20mph increase from running speed and w/e the skating speed is... don't be lazy bum/tard guys and let the skates do all the work...

being a stormrider is a sport you neeeed some effort! the average speed of a casual skater is...lets say 20mph with engine maybe supplement speed and increase to 40mph and reduce human effort so they can ride for longer durations... and 60mph is out of the question i don't think anyone is willing to make a jump at that speed...except a few people and me...
<.<

.>

and the engine has to be able to slow down/stop when it is not in contact with anything because if a person makes a jump and the wheels increases its speed due to lack of friction and then lands he will fall on his ass/whole skate breaks... also just as long as they are not breaking with the jump they will not fall face first...

AT's are not like cars that you just ride... one hint is that Ikki and other characters actually sweat! so they aren't just relying on the power of their engines!!! if they did then it is not a sport... the AT's are just to assist us in reaching "Trophaeum Tower" not do all the work for us... if you are that lazy you might as well just fly a helicopter up there...

the AT's shouldn't be motor powered skates more like human powered supplemented by machine working together! it even says it on wiki
"speed is generated proportional to the power of the user's leg; the assist motor accelerates based on the force of the kick."

as long as the motor keeps pushing you forward when you are at any speed up to a limit lets say 60mph limit while in contact with a surface i think it will work once but one reaches the limit e.g. 60mph the motor should stop pushing towards faster speeds so gears may be required sooner or later hence the name air gear?

though it is possible to reach 80mph or more going downhill... is anyone willing to be the test dummy? i mean subject? 😀

so to start just start with the skates and the two wheels... see how fast a casual skater goes then how fast a aggressive inline skater(one that performs tricks and maneuvers) goes... add motors to make them go faster like 5~10mph increase to begin with see if motors can increase speed to your goal speed and from then improve the motor and the rider interface(how one accelerates/slow down, how the motors should slowdown/stop when doing a jump) slowly...safety first! eventually we will get to regalias and motors in the wheels/types of wheels and then the READ system... the important things first... unless they lack knowledge in physics but have plenty in programing then by all means start on the READ system but all physics major and electrical engineers help out on the actual skate...
no more of the "i found this part i think we can use." unless they have the actual skate ready to improve with your parts...
eventually it will get smaller and better...
so suggest parts but not now...
after they have the basic skates ready...

my suggestion for the READ system if anyone is how i described only good in computer programing and lack knowledge in physics/engineering and will actually start writing the program...
make sure the program records speed/rpm and air time but the only thing is that the only way for it to be tested is after the skates are done so go slow 😁
record airtime with pressure sensor in the sole of the skates(the shoe has not even been made yet so that was a suggestion for later) and speed/rpm... not sure on how yet though...

Btw...

its for computers im assuming its too big to actually FIT in the skates and its relatively umm... not to be mean but im guessing its not compatible with skates therefore usless... unless u put like a whole laptop in the skates or until they have the READ system... and considering that it is going to be in AT's they have to be able to withstand the impact of falling, getting wet, and other various mishaps that may occur

I mean seriously... please no more suggestion of parts that you believe will help because there are no actual skates to put them into to test...

oh if someone did calculations post it up so u have proof that u actually did something because just saying that you did calculations does not prove you did anything...

-Thank you

p.s. im starting to wonder if this is the longest post... i mean seriously i'm starting to think this is the longest post in fact it may be the longest one anyone may have read if you spent time reading it... 🤣

The first law of thermodynamics, mate. You convert the electrical energy of the chip into another form energy usable by the skates.

Here is The 1st website I currently have up:
http://www.freewebs.com/stormridersonly

The Forum I just made to organize this Project(Now up and Running):
http://s3.excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=6628

Coming Soon(Is also coming to organize this project):
http://www.freewebs.com/theatproject

Those are some of the things I made to organize this project well the the The At Project freeweb site is coming soon im working on it...
So that this project can be more organized..

Thank you finally someone that gets it!!! however... i don't think anyone actually has the funding for this extensive project...

so any rich fans of air gear out there help out please?

and...

your part u suggested is not for skates, it is for a laptop...

the electricity is already usable and yeah we electricity to power motors...
who doesn't know that...

electric-motor/movement wow... and a chip for a power source is way to small although the smaller the better but... wait till the future when the actual power chip is completed and on the market...
🙄 unless u mean chip as in a battery...
if so please read all the posts before you post what we already know...

i don't remember anyone actually think of making gas powered AT's because that would suck since it will not be efficient in anyway...

remember!!! the motors are just there to increase your own speed and acceleration and reduce human effort/work! the skates are not supposed to do all the work!!!

so lets start this anew/ start from scratch...

Well i g2g for now I hope my info was helpful

your link has the shoe/boot that seems like it would do fine for the prototype unless... someone wants to design the shoes so that they will fit the required basic parts, battery, one rear motor, wheels.
after that works add brakes, improvements on power source and motor include different gears if possible make sure you can accelerate and decelerate with the rider interface
after that works
then add...
electric generator on the front wheel to make it a little more energy efficient by charging it as you ride (like hybrid cars...) with your own energy yes the rider will actually have to do some work AT's are sports equipment NOT A TOY THAT YOU JUST PUT IN BATTERIES AND RIDE IT REQUIRES A PERSON RIDING IT TO DO WORK I JUST CAN'T EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH THAT IS THE FATAL FLAW TO MOST OF THE IDEAS HERE. to riding the AT's in real life a person has to be relatively in shape and can ride rollerblades because they accelerate themselves since there is no motor in regular rollerblades... then ride at's so they can just accelerate faster go faster and be able to ride longer... I REPEAT!!! AT'S ARE TO SUPPLEMENT YOUR OWN SPEED NOT MEANT TO DO ALL THE WORK FOR YOU!!! APPLYING SOME PRESSURE TO THE WHEELS SHOULD MAKE THE MOTOR ACCELERATE. ALSO THE SKATES SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TO EVERYONES WEIGHT SO THE HEAVIER YOU ARE THE MORE POWERFUL THE PRESSURE ON THE AT'S WILL REQUIRE TO START THE MOTOR.

now those will be real AT's...

just how many times do i have that fact into your heads?

for the kids who don't understand

YOU HAVE TO PUSH YOURSELF TO MOVE AND THEN THE MOTOR KICKS IN TO MAKE YOU GO FASTER BUT IF YOU SLOW DOWN THEN THE SKATES WILL ALSO SLOW DOWN... BY JUST STANDING ON THE AT'S WILL NOT MAKE YOU MOVE!!!

yup thats what i meant...

last things to do on the list will be READ system, Regalia, and w/e that you can think of even the rollerball type AT's

suggestion for rider interface: when pushing on the skates to move forward the pressure from the shoe causes the motor to start accelerating when one catches air/ makes a jump the shoes stop accelerating and goes into neutral where the wheels will keep its rotational momentum and once you land the motors start accelerating again as long as the rider continues to ride forward. so a system of springs and shocks or the "Hydraulic Cushion System" as mentioned in wiki.
the "Wheel Motor" will require someone to actually build/make one since i don't think that is even in existence as of now...

the wiki link for what are air treks is really helpful ya know
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Trecks
it gives an idea of how the AT's need to work so does the manga...
an example would be the first chapters where ikki gets his first AT and the fight against the skull saders... the electromagnetic-permanent magnet motor is a possible way to make the wheels motors since the magnetic motor will be the wheel they are built in each other... the way to power it will require someone of expertise...

BTW who it the leader of this project? having one or a few people organizing it is the best way for this to get started and finished...

and yet another long post by me again... 😁

my passion for AT's to become real burns like a thousand suns!!!

First we develop low speed ones. Then the high speed ones.

Followed by customizing wheels, then the 'Regalia' which are just very custom and specialized Air Treks.

Then we also dont use Freewebs. Its not good, trust me. Use something more professional. I can think up of a name, y'know.

Then for forums, we have InvisionFree OR ProBoards.
Those are my reccomendations.

This can give you a small idea of the frame. I don't know if you missed it.

hahahahahah

laugh till his head hit the table, fall off and suffocate

no really you guys made my day i'm still laughing ^_^

mocking beside i have FUCKING GOOD NEWS

i took the whole "hitting the head" (that really happened <<'' ) as i sign from god. so to repent i finished all the calculation that i left half done since the start of my helish first month of school, with the help of my uber-new-scientific-calculator. and the new number that i got are awesome. and possible to reach. and right. i feel thay are. they are what they should have been from he start. so i want to leave the role of announcer of the good news to lightning90, cause his being stubborn in this post is what really motivated me. you deserve this little hope (i'm not sure if there is an engine like this yet ^^)

ps you have to shout the sum of the circled numbers and remember 1Kw= 1000w
