Hello, I am an Editor for a yaoi scanlation group. We are actively looking for new manga to scanlate as well as new yaoi mangaka to look at for future projects. Yeah, it is great to scanlate projects that we, the scanlators, enjoy - however, to me, it motivates me more to work on projects that those who read our scanlations enjoy.

Since I have spent SO much time on e-bay going through COUNTLESS Japanese yaoi titles I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to come to the yaoi fans here on MU          🙂         . It is SO hard to find good yaoi when you don't know what the manga is about. A lot of the time I just go by the cover and then spend a lot of time looking online for descriptions of the manga in English. 

I am not making this thread for scanlation groups to fight over projects to scanlate, but more like a 'go to' place for groups to come to get ideas. Also, it will give yaoi fans a place to post new projects that they are excited about getting scanlated, as well as new mangaka they would like to see work from. 

I am very excited to see what you guys suggest! Especially those of you who know Japanese! You guys, I am sure, have a lot more titles in mind being that you have more than likely read the raws.          😉

So, with that said... go ahead and list Yaoi manga that you would like to see scanlated. Also, if you have any new mangaka that may not be well known that you want to see more projects from - go ahead and list them too!

Also, if scanlation groups want, they can use this thread to announce that they have started on a particular series. Also, frequenters of scanlation groups can post news in regards to new manga being scanlated.

Feel free to list manga that has been dropped by scanlation groups as well as those that were being scanlated by a group that is now defunct.

Rules *Well, not really rules but..... suggestions 🙂

1- It is best not to list manga that is published by Libre ~ Libre does NOT like to see their manga scanlated.
2- If you are going to recommend a title that has Shota/Incest/Rape in it ~ Maybe put a little 'warning' tag by it since some don't like reading/scanlating titles that have these themes.
(Personally I am cool with EVERYTHING... well other than Shota)
3- It is best not to list titles that are already being scanlated by other groups unless they have announced that it has been dropped. Even if a series hasn't had an update in 6 months, most of the time the scanlators are waiting for a new chapter to be published or are already working on it. Like I said, I don't want this to be a thread to bash scanlation groups for being slow with releases or for not releasing as often as you would like.

With all of that said, I actually have two that I want scanlated ASAP (unless someone is already working on it and if that is the case PLEASE tell me! lol)

Well I don't really know any "new" series. But I'd love a continuation of these:
Koori no Mamono no Monogatari, it's a shounen ai but can't help but love it.
Hana to Ryuu, warning, there's rape gore and etc
Animal X, warning, again rape

They're all most likely dropped since its been AGES since the last released chapter. And they're all amazing and unique work which are completed in Japanese version. So if you would pick them up that'd be like a dream lol.

As a side note, I think this threat should be pinned since all the yaoi fans and all scanlation groups can come back to it for reference and more suggestions ^.^

Thanks for starting this thread! I'd personally love to read Tateno Tohko's Suita Reberu wa Dorekurai, even though I have no idea what it's about - I just really like the cover!

It's really nice of you as a scan group member to ask for suggestions, I think I'm just so used to groups discouraging project requests. Kinda surprised at the lack of activity here, but hopefully it'll pick up soon and you'll have lots of great suggestions to choose from 🙂

Wow, I am so excited about the suggestions I have seen so far ^.^ I love SHOOWA but for some reason I thought all of her stuff was already scanlated or being scanlated! Now I know that is not the case ~ I would like to see Nobody Knows scanlated as well. I will have to bring that one up as a project possibility to the admin and other members of my group. Also, I will have to look and see where to get the volume (we use our own scans in my group). I'm not making promises bc I am only one person of the whole group but I will definitely talk to my fellow members and see what they say. (I will also keep you guys updated on the outcome) 😃

I also have Koori no Mamono no Monogatari as well as Hana to Ryuu on my Reading list waiting for someone to pick it up so I second those as well! Now, as far as Hana to Ryuu -I know that Yaoi Shake Scanlations had this one up as a possible project since they focus mainly on dropped projects. I know the Admin of that group so I can see if they are still planning on doing it or not.

I was actually suprised that there wasn't already a thread for this.... but now there is so maybe it will be used ^.^ Aww, you are making me blush ~ I have only been doing scanlation for about a year but since I eat sleep and breathe yaoi, I thought... 'Why Not?' lol ~ I love it 😁

Ohh you totally should read it! I usually avoid old manga unless I'm really out of yaoi. So yeah, the art is pretty old but you get used to it. And I found this manga in the weirdest way too...err I was looking at male pregnancy tag 😳
But it's good! I really REALLY like it 😀 hehe

And I am agreeing with this. The thing that sux is that most (not all) of Jaryuu Dokuro's works are published by Libre and scanlators don't really like scanlating Libre titles >.< There are a couple manga by her that aren't published by Libre ~ so maybe someone will look at this and scanlate them... 😃

I think the manga is licensed that's why it can't be scanlated?

I'd love to see Tamahiyo scanlated....its a doujinshi based one of the minor couples of Bokura no Oukoku and this couple is so cute and hilarious!
