-Not just more assertive or more experienced, but actually takes initiative to move the relationship forward.
-Preferably in older female-younger male setting, but that's not a must.
-Get together early so a big chunk of the series would revolve around their relationship instead.
-Both leads are level-headed people, so no wishy-washy guys or pushover girls.
-NO love triangle, but as long as it resolves quickly it's fine I guess.
-NO harem or reverse harem.

Examples: Futari no Renai Shoka, Sundome (the guy is kinda a wimp in this one but it's attributed to his masochistic streak so it's fine), Itadakimasu, Natsu no Zenjitsu, My Secret Brother and maybe Sadistic Beauty (similar with Sundome).

Thanks for the rec, I've read that before but if I remember right it's not quite what I'm looking for since the girl only 'encourage' the guy (well, through seduction but still) not take the lead herself. As example in a scene where she initiated a make-out she stopped in the middle and didn't follow through. Do I make sense lol.
I've searched through that tag before and the examples that I mentioned don't have 'assertive female lead' tag, so I guess it doesn't cover for what I'm looking for exactly so I just try my luck here. 🙂

Try Nano List or perhaps Unlucky Mansion. I'm hesitant to recommend the latter because the relationship isn't fully developed but so far I have noticed the female lead being more of the initiator. Let me know if these please you! They're both webtoons, and I'll let you know if I remember any more that could potentially interest you.

Thanks for the recs! I just caught up with recent chapters for both and I'm liking them so far, tho I'm hesitant to pick a ship in Nano List (I'm hooked with the non-romance stuff and the ships are just bonus hehe) but Unlucky Mansion looks like going to the direction I'm looking for.
