I'm listening to one of the audio clips and its a edited one used in the high school I wen't to.

Its not bad BUT it doesn't tell you what they are saying or how to understand, which words are used and none are highlighted. Only Japanese dialog is said and it won't help people much unless they already reached a high enough level to understand it.

This is weird though, I'm hearing the voice of Kyon ( Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu anime )

Edit: Nevermind, at the middle to end the english speaker explains, but she adds alot of random bulls*it words ( extra words that don't even get mentioned )
She adds too much random words for proper learning, but its still decent none the less.

Well hopefully if you start with beginner lesson number 1 and work your way up I'm sure even if you don't know anything about japan you'll definitely walk away far more informed than the avg. person.

Yeah I actually have fallen away from the lessons (LOUSY SCHOOL) but lord willing will pick it up again this summer. I'm supplementing these lessons with some grammer from a japanese text book called nakama. Which is the book my school uses.

Haha... we should all do a group voicechat to learn Japanese... ^_^; Y'know, motivation! 🙂 Although... the Kanji we'll have to learn on our own. Haha...

Mmm... yeah, I think the cleaning up part I could do. The raws for Suzuka are actually pretty bad. I think mostly, the cleaner has to erase the Japanese text from it, then turn up the contrast/fill in the white splotches in the raw... to make it look like a decent page.

I believe that doing such things in photoshop would work beautifully. 🙂 But, krnfate (and any other hardcore Suzuka fan who's interested), that'd be an awesome way to learn more Japanese while contributing to the manga world... if we were to scanlate if somehow CUBLITZ or DoubleO7 dropped Suzuka.

**although, I think maybe CUBLITZ did drop Suzuka... 🙁

Hiragana... thats just the alphabet. Katakana is the same but different characters. Its like learning ABC's capital letters and smaller letters. Kanji is what's going to be slowing you down ( I hate kanji God! )

Sentence structure, and yes the [formal] and [non formal] ways of talking, but thats easy if you learn the formal talk first. But I think the next step after that is learning the meaning of each word ( anime could help you a bit in this area ) but even if you do study hours and hours it will take you years.

And for the studying online thing, I don't think any sites will be much of help to you in learning Japanese. You should acutally go to classes for it to learn the language properly, some people study by themselves and they tend to learn wrong, use the language wrong because they do not know the right and wrong.

I've already started learning some kanji. But there are so many 🙁 Oh well I don't forget anything I memorize so all I need is to memorize about 900 more (about 1000 is needed for everyday things) Although what scares me a little is the 19000 lesser know kanji
😲 😲 Although it is fun to see how the kanji was derived from pictures and you remember better it's slow. Also some just look nothing like their original form 🙁
Oh well fansubbing translation is easy. BTW not all manga requires kanji to be able to translate.

p.s. I listened lol. I don't study online but I don't need lessons anyways unless they're private cause it would slow me down or I wouldn't pay attention. Thanks though. 🙂

Sorry about that, yes it did get wayyy out of topic and such, however we were talking about someone picking this project up if one of the groups did drop it, so the relevance is much higher than the 0%

the raw for ch151 should've come out yesterday, since it hasn't i don't think there's gonna be suzuka this week. by the way the sauna special was last 2 or 3 week's release together with ch149, it just didn't come out because the scans team was just busy, they're human too..

well the raw could be late thats all happens with naruto sometimes. The Sauna Special was funny 😛 i loved it and this is comming from someone who never reads those specials and stuff in any manga cuz there just stupid most of the time and go way off plot like there is a big fight in ch ### and the next relese is some special whitch has nothing to do with story. But its kind of hard to go off the story line in Suzuka.
