Has anyone ever made a simple mistake, and then for some reason repeated the mistake over and over, unintentionally or not?

My example is that whenever I create a post on here, I think it's as good as it is at the moment, and sign out. But then I realize that I didn't explain something the way I wanted to, and by the time I sign back in, people already comment on it and then I have to explain what I meant to say in order to stop a flamewar. I think it's happened about 4 times already, and hopefully I didn't do it here either. 🤣

There's some more that I want to share, but I gotta go to sleep (It's about 4 in the morning where I live), so I'll tell some later while you guys share.

The only thing that comes immediately to mind is "the unfair platformer" where I repeated mistakes quite a few times, but I don't really remember a lot of things. So because of that, I probably repeat a lot of mistakes.

I tend to hit my shoulder all the time.
I've nearly pulverized some doors/walls after
hitting them every week.

Every night I go to sleep, but after a few hours I realise my mistake and wake up 🤢

I aslo tend to think I'm done writing posts, only to come back later and add more or rewrite something.. Kinda bad memory I guess, Don't really know what I wanted to be said in the end.. Or something 😕

I have a little baby gate at my door, so the dogs will stay out of my room, but that the cat can go in, and without fail, at least three times a day, I try to walk into my room like there is no baby gate, and I usually fall forward.

Also, the door way to my bathroom is smaller than all the other doorways, so I tend to misjudge it and run into the edge. I do that also with the arch way to my kitchen.

I repeatedly get caught sleeping in class 🤢

This has been happening since my first years of high school to today, my last years of college

I wouldn't call that a mistake.

Also: repeating a mistake over and over leads one to think that the one who is doing so is thick in the head.

The only reason I'm quoting the OP is to say who repeats the same mistake intentionally? I'd like to know. 🙂

I always repeat mistakes when I'm solving math problems. Like if the problem is 1+1 I'll get three. In the back of my mind I know it's wrong so I try again and get the same answer. This can go on for hours until I get it right. And no that is not the actual problem I was working on. I can add just fine. 😃

Or just absentminded. Some of the smartest people I know, pay the least amount of attention to their surrondings and constantly trip over stuff.

Mistake I always make: Er, I bite my nails until I bleed all the time. That's probably more of a bad habit though... or is that the same thing?
