Our member ScytheMaster14 suggested this poll on harem in manga (and manhua and manhwa). I feel it's a pretty straight forward post, so vote away!

You can discuss this poll on our forums here:

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related):
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Favorite Japanese food/meal of the following
Choices:
Sushi - votes: 4159 (30%)
Ramen - votes: 4889 (35.2%)
Nabe - votes: 206 (1.5%)
Tempura - votes: 1217 (8.8%)
Onigiri - votes: 873 (6.3%)
Bento - votes: 1091 (7.9%)
Yakitori - votes: 506 (3.6%)
Okonomiyaki - votes: 692 (5%)
Tofu-dango - votes: 130 (0.9%)
Dried eel - votes: 120 (0.9%)
There were 13883 total votes.
The poll ended: January 14th 2012

Many of us have probably only eaten ramen and sushi. The others are not as well known, at least in the states.

Really? Ramen's okay but it's not super amazing. Bento doesn't make sense as it isn't a food, just an arranged lunch box. I prefer sushi out of the choices. But i'm sure i'd love yakitori.

I'd like harem's more if they were you know actual harems. :/ But I've read maybe 3 manga one (red river, legend of neired and one ecchi manga) And it was barely touched on. Oh and tenchi I guess lol.

They're okay i suppose. But I always end up rooting for one person and getting rather annoyed with the other suitors. Oh and in ecchi harems, the guys are generally so crappy that it's annoying. I understand they are appealing to their target market, but a pathetic guy gets 5 super cute women/girls in love with him... Lol, no not going to happen. At least in half of shoujo harem manga the lead has something going for her.

So I guess I'm tired of them. But I'd be interested in reading a shounen reverse harem or a regular harem in shoujo. Oh and actual harems, multiple wives and all the drama/politics that surround that.

I think hate and tired should have been 2 different choices. Hate means you dislike it, tired can mean you are bored with them or feel inundated with them. I don't hate harems, but I am tired of them because so few offer anything really different that grabs my interest.

I really hope the people that put ramen don't mean instant ramen because that stuff does not compare to the delicacy that is sushi.

I don't like harems.

I'm not a fan of harems, most are stupid and boring with a bland male lead. Sometimes they can be good if they're comedy with a main character that actually has a personality. But that's rare.

I prefer my harems in hentai. Finding them in others is alright but it really gets annoying to see a guy surrounded by girls but he never goes beyond peeking and groping.

Have to love them harems, Ken Akamatsu's work shines through them, not to mention some of Key's works, regardless of what you may say about whether they're actual harems or not.

I've liked most of the harem shows I've watched/read so far. But more for the comedy than the "romance". I don't really see how you can hate the concept of harems, or any concept in general, barring personal misgivings: there are some impressive and/or fun harem works out there: MSN, TWGOK, HnG, Umi no Misaki, Seitokai no Ichizon, Midori Days, Elfen Lied, IS, Clannad, Index, etc.

I go with the Reverse Harem. I don't know why. And it's probably the wrong answer since I'm a guy.

Hey, this harem doesn't specifically point which "Harem" so it may be "Boy's Harem"(Where one guy with many girls) or "Girl's Harem"(Reverse of Boy's Harem). Either way I'm not really not interested in harem unless they got some weight in the story department(not just plain echhiness[for borderline h manga]) and that included hentai manga too
