Mine are G. Orwell and J.D. Salinger but I'm not sure if they qualify 😕

Orwell is English.

Ooops! Yeah, I just googled it...

If you liked Orwells '1984' check out 'A Brave New World' by Aldous Huxely similar dystopia society but a lot closer to reality than anything in 1984.
I checked wikipedia and it seems interesting...just the kind of stuff I'm into. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of Brave new World, I wasn't really fond of the writing style but most of all I hated the ending. Then again I had to read it for class, so that could also be why.

Is Joseph Heller English or American? Because the book that comes to mind is Catch 22.

Definitely a must-read for anyone interested in contemporary novels.

Also, I find myself quite addicted to the Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card.

Steinbeck is pretty awesome.

Gene Wolf has got to be one of my favourite authors ever. Anyone who is into to fantasy must read his Wiard Knight series.
