Well, if we go by 'When I grow up I wanna be...' then I have to say that I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger. But then my mum started to retell stories from her work (she's a teacher) and somehow I thought 'no way in hell'. Then I wanted to be a doctor. Then a lawyer. Yeah, that sums it up pretty much 😉.

But now, it looks like I'll end up as an anthropologist with English minor... 🤣

Rookie? Oh i don't think so. If my memory doesn't play tricks on me this is seasoned veteran in rank of Major. Forgot his name though. (Everything is so new and shiny 'cause IT IS the new gear, i mean new standart gear)
And besides, there is no rookies at Federal Security Service(FSB) Special Forces 😎 These guys are elite! 🙂

I think that's true about a lot of people, myself included. To an extent, I still wish I could do something like that. I just find everything so boring...

Growing up I wanted to do many things. Then some important people in my life died, and I decided I wanted to know everything. Every piece of information that exists, I wanted to learn.

It was my hope that I would eventually learn enough to cure diseases and stop death, so that nobody would ever feel the pain of losing someone important again.

However, as I got older I realized how foolish a dream this was.

I rationalized that even learning everything wouldn't stop death. People need to die for various reasons, but most of all, if people did not die, life would not be worth living. Learning everything cannot stop death, only delay it. Learning how to do so would be pointless since most medical studies have already learned of ways to significantly delay death.

So, I decided I wanted to learn everything just because I want to. It had been my goal for years, and I was well on my way, so why quit?

It's my belief through being a student for life, I will eventually find a subject or an area I find most interesting above all others, and that will be my goal.

I've yet to find that area, but I have got some ideas.
