Hey all,

We're looking to get a few shounen/seinen editors, since we have quite a few cool projects lined up (and some actually ready for editing now).

For action sfxs in titles such as these, we just sub them. We do require smaller, easier sfxs to be edited in, but all in all it's not as much work. Most raws are debound, and scans can be pre-leveled/rotated/cropped if you have problems with that area. We ask editors to complete a normal-sized chapter within 2 weeks, though I usually don't start bugging you until you take as long as 4 weeks.

These projects range from bishie shounen to twisted seinen mind-trips, to seinen drama. There are no ecchi titles, though some have mature themes.

Projects needing editors soon:
Kugutsu (yes, we're getting it moving again)
Doll Star (within 2 months)
Hinata no Ookami (ready now)

Projects we own and are going to happen down the line if no one beats us to them:
Densen Complex
Kizu (OTSUICHI)
Shisso Holiday
Pied Piper
Ultrabaroque Deprogrammer
Shiroi Kumo

Anyone interested, please either toss me examples of your work, or (if you're new to editing) take my editing test at the end of edit.unblessed.net.

Thanks!

I've been interested in that Ultrabaroque deprogrammer for a while now, though I have no idea what it's about.

Also, any info on the other two with no summary (kizu and doll star).

I can't really go into detail, since I haven't read them (skimming and amazon reviews only go so far).

Ultrabaroque is about a deprogrammer who does around unwinding the memories of people who have been brain-washed. From what I can tell, it's episodic mystery/psychological messed-upedness.

Kizu centers around the friendship between 2 boys; one of them has the ability to take the wounds of others onto himself. Drama, with that supernatural twist; emotionally moving.

Doll Star I know less about (I'm too afraid to skim it, since I have no self-control and can't afford to start it this second...). The theme of the 1st arc is our heroine (and her trusty creepy-ass doll) helping out a kid in her class who's got nowhere else to turn. Our heroine has the ability to make a person (mentally) experience their deepest fear, which she uses on the bad guy =P That totally doesn't do it justice ~ it's incredibly dark, though not graphic, and has ample creepy doll scenes.

Hmm not too sure about the other ones, but for Ultrabaroque, could I see a raw of the first chapter so I can judge it. If it's not scanned yet though then it can wait.

The Japanese publisher has c01 online. Click either the DHMTL or FLASH buttons to bring up the reading popup, arrows to navigate. http://www.square-enix.co.jp/magazine/tachiyomi/ub-deprogrammer/Contents/#

It looks cool. I'd like to edit it, though not in the next week or two, but that's probably not a problem since it's in the future project list.

I've been waiting for someone to pick up Shisso Holiday, I really enjoy Otsuichi's works. Um... if you don't mind could you post up a random page from the manga so I can see what the art work is like?

Sure. Note that the artist also did Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai which Ivyscan has started ~ so you can DL that for a whole chapter of his artstyle (super-pretty, if I do say so myself).

Low-res samples: p7 p9 p13

To be honest, Shisso is something I'd do after Kizu. Kizu is darker, and has such a gritty supernatural component... just overall more appealing to me. And doesn't have maids. I absolutely hate maids 😔

Oh, well if you need a cleaner for either Shisso Holiday or Kizu, I'd be happy to help kick start it off. I've had experience in editing except I kinda retired and curently don't have any previous works saved on my comp. However I do have a few cleaning tests I've done for other groups, so .... uh.... do you accept those?

Sure thing, toss them at me (email preferred: kalendel@gmail.com).

Also let me know if you've had experience working with HQ non-debound raws. Shisso is debound, but Kizu isn't.
