im glad they are back..but at same time, im sad that they havent changed at all..i wish though..i mean i can't help but think that 7 years skip is pointless if they arent changed at all. or maybe that's just me.

When the little girl said "My name is Mavis Fairy Tails first master" my first thoughts were WTF and OMG.

Me too... But maybe the time skip wasn't to change them, but their world.
Also... I think the chapter was too fast ¬¬'' Mashima could've explored more the part of them being found... But then again... I wouldn't want to have to wait 4+ chapters just too see them back hehe

damn was kinda hoping they aged, but this works too. I like the cover as well. I for one was really glad it happened quickly, exploring and learning about the new world is always better with your favorite characters than 5 chapters dealing with the other guild without any of the main people or another 5 just to find them. It was quick and concise and I prefer that to drawn out events.

i was hoping for something like they were on some kind of loop for those 7 years (training) and had come back stronger than they were. but oh well this works too and we can see the progress as they get stronger.

on another hand

the chapter did feel fast but i like it none the less cuz i (we) don't have to wait any longer for seeing some fairy tail VS Twilight ogre and have the hole guild of those other guys destroyed completely and see the newly rebuilt fairy tail guild like it used to or better.
at least i hope that happens and soon XD

wow, felt it was too rushed. Now, that he pulled a time freeze, I feel it should have been less than 7 years because none of the side characters have really changed physically in those 7 years, so in a few chapters, it will be all forgotten.

I kind of figured this would happen. A 7 year ship is too long if you wanted to change the characters a bit. Makarov would probably be dead, and everyone, except maybe the dragon slayers would be in mid to late twenties, that's too old for a Shounen manga. Some kind of suspended animation or memory loss or scattered to the ends of the earth were the only choices but once Tenrou was confirmed to existed only the suspended animation course was left. I was not expecting Mavis though.

I wish she would have explained more on why it had to be seven years like magic drain or spell side effects.

I expect the world is going to be a much darker place now. Maybe that final dark guild in the three will pretty much be ruling things.
