Yup,most people that I know actually lost weight during Ramadhan (but then their weight shot up at Eid ul Fitr because they went on eating binge).

Happy holidays to all those who celebrate, just wanted to add a fun-fact, no offence intended towards anyone, it's just that I chuckled a little when I saw what the holiday was named, and wanted to share. In my language (norwegian) "Eid" means and is the phrase used for "Owned", true story 😛

So when I read that it was a month of fasting I had to smile a little, I don't mean to insinuate anything by it, just that it was a funny coincidence 😛

Here in my country, Indonesia , we call it "Idul Fitri" or "Lebaran day" , the day when we apologize toward each other and doing holiday trip to our hometown / village to visit families, called "mudik" .

the essence of eid ul-fitr is that you go back to 'fitri', which means 'pure'. it's when we believe that our sin is being forgiven by Lord.. and the others. therefore, people in my country celebrate it with 'forgiving rituals' : meeting family, shaking hands, and asking forgiveness in case he/she had made fault toward related people...

that's when we believe that forgiveness can be so sweet and beautiful.. when people try to understand each other..

isn't that so easy to create 'peace'..?
forgiving someone doesn't mean that you lose..
it's resemble your strong heart to give another chance and to move on

::happy ied 1430 H::

🙂
