Well, I agree Nintendo was the most impressive presentation, but that's not saying much. I thought all the presentations were incredibly underwhelming.
For microsoft that isn't much of a surprise, since Peter Moore left every E3 show has been very disappointing.

Dont forget about the 2 halo games coming out, LOL.

Well, I'm not looking forward to Halo 4 because it's too obvious that they're just milking the franchise now, and the fact that it's not made by Bungie makes me even more wary about it. I will get the remake of the first Halo though.

While Halo 4 isn't being made by bungie, it is made by 343 Industries, which has several former Bungie employees. (including Frankie O'connor, yay)
So I dare to be cautiously optimistic.
The anniversary edition is a no brainer though. Maybe I should play through it on legendary again, though I really hate the Library.
I'm also looking forward to ME3, though I hope they bring back Beattie for Mordin. I didn't like the voice in the trailer 😔

So a totally new game is milking the franchise, but a remake isn't? I fail to see the logic there...

I'm not sold on the Wii U. The 6.2 inch tablet with dual analog sticks...will be awkward. The abxy buttons under the analog stick is even more awkward than the PSP's sideways powerswitch. I need more details on the Wii U like price, what discs it uses, 3rd party support, etc...the catchMii thing on WiiU seems fun, but I need to see more practical uses for the tablet. And I'll need to get a new HDD for the WiiU as well....? My wallet is not happy about that. I'd be much happier about the WiiU if DS's could be used as a control...

EDIT: Oh, Nintendo using BluRay. Will it play BluRays though?

And none of the Wii games I wanted? (No Last Story, Xenoblade, or Pandora's Tower Nintendo? I am dissapoint.)

The PSVitamin, oops, the PSVita is going to be a definite buy for me. $250! Maybe not day one though...

I don't care about Fable or Halo. So bleh.

I personally thought the Wii U was kinda silly attached to the shooting controller on the Wii. The new need for speed looked great, and we cant forget about BF3 and MW3.

I never said that the remake wasn't milking the franchise, I just said that I was going to get the remake. Besides, a Halo 1 remake is a better idea than trying to continue a story that had a definite end. If they somehow make Halo 4 well without it feeling like a poorly done sequel, then I'm all up for it. If not, then I won't buy it like I planned to.

Ubisoft's conference was surprisingly solid and consistent. Nintendo was alright, a lotta unnecessary nostalgia lovin', but the new console's third-party support is pretty promising. Sony was decent enough, nothing really amazing or surprising save for the PS Vita which I'll definitely be picking up. And the Microsoft conference was, as I mentioned earlier, utterly horrible.

Personally interested and looking forward to;

Prey 2 - Blade Runner-esque visuals? Sign me up!
Battlefield 3 - Could potentially be the most engaging and intense FPS to date.
Journey - Fascinating concept, love thatgamecompany's previous work.
Rayman Origins - Fun and silly looking 2D platformer sans Rabbids.
Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter 3 - Impressive weapon customization, and I'm a sucker for 4-player co-op.
Metro 2033: Last Light - Wanted to play the first but didn't have the specs for it.
Sly Raccoon 4 - Visuals ain't the best, shame it's a different developer but could be good.

Sort of interested in;

Overstrike - Insomniac have yet to make a bad game. Lovely art direction.
Brothers In Arms: Furious 4 - A bit of an insult to the previous games, but could be fun.
Far Cry 3 - Wasn't mad about the second, will keep an eye on this though.

I hate how people complain they are milking a franchise. Of course they are going to make another game if it makes money. If REACH and ODST had been a flop they would not be trying to make more games, why because they don;t make money. As long as they have a decent story who cares. it's a friggin FPS it never had much of a storyline in the first place. You shoot funny looking aliens as a bada** Spartan that is the entire premise of the franchise. All they need is a reason to thaw out Master Chief and some bad guys for him to beat up on and you have a game.

Besides most people buy these for the multiplayer so if they upgrade the multiplayer with some new stuff pretty much everyone on this board complaining about them milking the franchise is going to buy it anyway, so why whine about it now.

Halo 3 had a definite ending? I haven't played it in ages, but I remember:

The Covenant was defeated, and the Flood was wiped out. Chief was in cyro heading towards something that looked like either another Halo ring or a planet. Everybody on earth just assumed he was dead.

To me that's not so much a definite ending as an obvious cliffhanger. Anyway, I'm hoping it'll be good. A chance to add some new enemies to the universe. Unless of course they just decide to bring back the Covenant.

but I'm pretty sure 343 studios, who is making Halo 4, has pretty much the entire bungie team that worked on the halo series in it, so it should be the same if not better quality

All I have to say is, all the money I have is just imaginary, because its is all going to disappear into Assassins Creed: Revelations, Gears 3, Skyrim, and probably some other games as well....

My time for the month of November is going to be spent doing four things. Studying, eating, sleeping, but maybe most importantly video games (though number 1 is fairly important as well lol)

Bleg. I like the Wii U a bit less, seeing as its gonna apparently be expensive as hell. And the graphics arent gonna be as good as they said.
Actually, I'm disappointed. I heard that there might be only one of the touchscreen things included and I dont like the analog sticks being above the d-pad and the abxy buttons.
Besides Bioshock Infinite wont be released for it.
Not sold.
Anyway, Skyrim totally got the best showing. I have not a single complaint.
Arkham City, Prey 2, Dust 514, Asura's Wrath, Bioshock Infinite, Torchlight II, Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragon's Dogma, and Darksiders II all were looking pretty good from the little coverage there was.
I'm not sold on AC: Revelations, Ryse, or The Darkness II but I hope there will be good things to come.
I don't give two turds for Modern Warfare 3, Halo 4 (or the remake. I'm satisfied with the original), Gears 3, or Battlefield 3. Seriously. Battlefield 3 might end up being a good game but EA needs to stfu about how it's gonna beat out MW3.
I'm looking forward to Space Marine, the new Hitman, the remake of Shadow of the Colossus, Bloodforge, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution but I'm gonna wait for more info afore getting my hopes up.
I'm also exited for Mass Effect 3 but not as exited as I probably should be. Mostly because I never finished ME 1 or 2. It's on my to do list.

I'd also like to know where robbit received the information, because I've only seen speculation from people with no basis for their claims to that end.

As for the controller, it doesn't look like I'd have any trouble getting used to it.

I think the whole "One tablet controller per console" was confirmed, but really I can live with that. The graphics and price though are 100% rumours. So far all we've heard from Nintendo is that it can do 1080p, and no comment whatsoever about the price. I'm expecting it to be around $500-$600 Australian, and our prices always get jacked up from the US ones (Eg: PS3 was $1,000 when it launched, but it's down to about $500 now)
