Odette, you... you stole my pick! But you did it so well and so eloquently that I can only nod along and smile. <3

Now I feel obliged to come up with a different one... How about The Glass Bat (master-thief and despoiler of young apprentices) from Detective Bluecat? He's, like, an uber-seme, in the sense that he's an alpha male that could easily out-seme most other semes. I mean it. Plus, he's a devilishly handsome criminal mastermind with a magnificent sense of mystique and melodrama, complete with swirling cape and twirling mustache and flawless gloves and tophat. He picks up orphaned boys and trains them to be his followers (coughBatmancough), except that his "fatherly" love transcends the platonic and wanders into the downright deviant, which, unsurprisingly, ends up scarring his charges for life - even as they become inextricably obsessed with him, because he was, after all, as tender as he was vicious. What's lovely about this glorious bastard is that he's an uber-seme that probably spawned generations of dysfunctional semes, simply by twisting the young minds he came into contact with, thereby causing them to twist the minds of others. Oh, and he's such a nice brute, too... You can't distinguish his kindness from his cruelty, and you don't quite want to.
