For those that are unfamiliar with Lolicon and Shotacon - it's basically the fetish of young, under-age male/female, originated in Japanese culture.

Personally, I don't mind manga with this type of theme so long as it doesn't cross the non-explicit/adult boundaries. Although there are exceptions like Kodomo no Jikan where I found freshness in the plot-settings...watching a 23 year-old elementary school teacher getting harass by masegaki(s) (mature-child) is just that much fun. Having that said, as a male, I always view Loli as a form of uniquely enchanted cuteness, a psychical attractiveness in which you don't find on adult females - the facial and body structuring/scaling - without any sexuality ("yeah right, bullshit!")...ok, maybe just a little bit but still...imo if even to an extreme state, it would only remain as a Fetishism and would rarely lead to Pedophilia.

Disregarding the available inept psychological studies/reasoning, what are your intakes on this subject matter?

Ehhhh I'm not obsessed about loli/shota but I don't mind reading it and wouldn't mind defending it. I've read both the explicit and non-explicit stuff and I don't really distinguish between the 2. As long as I enjoy them, it doesn't matter.

Otherwise, nothing to say... really. They're just stories to me, with a certain degree of sexual content or if not, with a certain amount to no storytelling. shrugs

I really don't like it. It is hard to defend myself, since I don't even know how to word it. I suppose this is why I rarely include myself in conversations about lolicon or shotacon.

As I have said before I don't really see them as kids just little adults. You hardly ever know their real age anyways.

I really don't like lolicon or shotacon manga. I mean, if there's a little girl or boy in the story and there's nothing sexual going on with them, then I'll read it. Otherwise, give me a H-manga where the girl and the boy don't look like they should be in elementary or middle school.

I honestly don't know why people are going batsh*t insane over this. It's manga/anime. A comic/cartoon. It's not real... But whatever, not everyone has common sense.
