In every genre of manga/anime, there's always that one cliche that is so over used that's annoying and cheesy!

For example, with yaoi/shounen-ai I hate the whiny ukes who never make the first move and cry about everything that they allowed to happen. I hate the "seme just raped uke but uke falls in love with him" cliche. And the bambi eyed uke.

Shounen: The wimpy kid, who is the very definition of introvert, is the savior of the world because he's the grandson of some person. The whole time during a fight he makes everything more difficult because he can't fight and/or he's to scared. Somehow manages to get everyone to like him. All he does is talk to the main antagonist while his comrades fight the enemy.

Shoujo: The girl can't decide on who she loves the most when it's obvious who she wants. How the girl doesn't give a guy a chance to explain a misunderstanding and just runs away. The clueless girl who asks "Why is my heart beating so fast?". I mean come on, you should know!

What's your major cliche' peeve?

Yaoi/Bl:

One guy is straight until he isn't, and the "I just saw you and fell in love" trope, coupled with the forced sex=love.

Shojo:
Annoyingly, overly stupid girl who's also sweeter than honey and if she were real would have no future and the love interest that is the complete opposite, he's cold (or the quite type), super smart and if this were real live he would never even consider the girl he's supposed to be in love with cus he's in a shojo manga.

Shonen:

The one. Seriously, I hate it when the main character is the chosen one.
