Why do you hate certain characters?

Seriously, what's with all the hatred for Shinji? So yeah, he's a little bit of a wimp, but that's actually a common personality- which is the point. He suffers traumas and deals with them in a human way. While it's certainly true that everyone deals with things in different ways, a lot of people choose to repress the issues instead, which can result in the kind of complexes Shinji develops. In any case, I'd honestly like to see someone- at the age of 14- handle that situation better than he did with identical circumstances, but naturally that's something that's impossible to see.
I really hate some of the cookie-cutter harem girls, in addition to the lead. It seems to be the rule that there's only 1-2 that are actually unique in any way, and the rest are just a selection from the pool of stereotypes.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

typical shoujo heroines. sometimes, I don't mind so much, like I think Tohru is ok. but some people.. like the girl in hot gimmick make me want to smash something. no one's IQ can possibly be that low if they're still able to maintain some level of functioning (talking, walking, eating, breathing, etc).
every single character in ichigo 100%. seriously. and I guess any other harem characters that fit into there.
indecisive characters. it's a trait I hate in myself and therefore in other people.

I hate main characters that are oblivious to the opposite sex. This is more common in action/shounen where the main character is so obsessed with power and epic fighting that their is no romance in sight. That, and guys who are so hung up on one girl that they can't see all of the other girls.
