lol i feel like mostly males have answered this poll.

I'm to go with men since they control most of the world's wealth.

Also while some men do not shop for clothing (begging the question what do you wear?! I have a feeling that ya'll need to step your clothing game up) they buy things like cars, kits for cars, video games, game systems, computer add ons, etc. :/ I actually spend a lot less than both my brothers, they don't look at prices much

There was a study that said that men spent almost 50% more on eating out than women do.

I'm sure you can figure out why that's so.

I agree that it depends on the person. I'm female but I rarely spend a lot, I only spend when I desperately have to, but my brother spends money all the time on games, a lot of food, clothing and shoes (yes he shops for clothes and shoes - he has way more shoes than me... )
So really we can't assume that woman spend more just because that's what media stereotyped woman to be (girly shopaholics, always striving to seem a certain way and spending all that money just to perfect that image)

I think the women does.
The girls I know are always purchasing stuff and complaining about having no money, but the guys don't complain that much and are always with money to go out drinking.

Well, as a girl, I spend a lot of money. I work in some researches and have a tiny paycheck, and I spend all of it. Yesterday was my payday and I spent 25% of it already. XD In action figures! So I think its a good cause. But I only buy things that I really wanted for a while, and my friends usually go in sales and buy a lot of useless stuff. =x

It kinda depends on the person, though. I also know women (like my boss) that don't buy as much as some guys I know (like one of my teachers. He went to England and bought so many things. lol)

I'll just go with this.
Oh and it's cos' I also think that women tend to buy things even though it isn't needed, which I don't think men usually do...

I put "depends on the person". But if that option wasn't there I would have put women.

lol my brothers do to, they have very impressive wardrobes. Not only do they have more clothing and shoes (omgosh the shoes) they cost more too. (i'm guessing the men on this site aren't dressed to impress) One spends extra money on electronics and the other on Video Games
I don't spend money often at all :/ I will very rarely buy something for myself. Except for university. I wish I'd just spent my money on fun things instead of school
