I'm a girl and I think Bleach is okay ,but i just hate when the main character gets stronger and all powerfull and wins every single battle. When watching most of the fight scenes you can expect whose gonna win. It gets boring after a while. 😃

I think that they just show their love more. It's natural.

yeah of course girls show there feelings more than boys but you can't say that just cos of that they love manga more than us

i love bleach, its my fave anime/manga of all time! its fun, the plot twists are totally surprising and the fights are actually worth watching, not some moronic displays of machoism but actually interesting fights that contribute to plot development. plus there are some very good looking characters to perv at. maybe more guys watch it coz its kinda aimed at that audience, but that would stop me.

plus a lot of manga aimed specifically at girls, like shojo are really stupid and mushy. good stories about good vs evil are pretty universal imo

I do too, but if they get so bad-ass that they win in every single fight the manga/anime is not exciting anymore. Not that Bleach is doing that...yet.

I read Bleach and I'm a female. Manga like Bleach, Naruto, Air Gear, etc aren't written with just male readers in mind. Take for example Berserk, it appeals to mostly males while the above manga appeal to both sexes. Why? The story itself is made so both male and female readers can walk away with a like of the material.

actually it is written towards male readers that's why is called SHONEN=BOY
it's just that females read it too.. just like how we have shojo=girl and there are male readers as well.

Most Shounen nowadays, are made for girls to read, as well. Take a look at some older shounen, compared to the ones within the past 5 years or so, and you'll see a difference in storylines, character types, etc.

Shounen isn't really a classification for just boys anymore. It's mostly just a way to say it's an action-ish adventure manga.

I think you are taking what I said all wrong. Yes, it is wrtten for males but it's not written in a hardcore male way like Berserk or some of the other shonen manga. That's all I ment. I write myself and I know mostly women read my writings but I make it so men can enjoy it as well without feeling weird about reading it.

anyway, it doesn't really matter if it is shounen or shoujo. ur still gonna hv male n female readers in both genres

Shonen is a classification for stuff
that very likely is something cheesy.

Boys tend to like fighting and girls, love relationships. It's pretty easy to figure out who the main audience is. But that doesn't mean girls can't like fighting and boys love relationships.
