I think I read somewhere that 60% of the readers of Shounen Jump were girls... of course I could be thinking of something else.

wow, on here more guys like Bleach, well I guess this forum has more guys in the first place but I actually know only a couple guys and tons of girls that like bleach.

I'd like Bleach alot more (like I did 5 months ago) if they brought back you know the 3rd top character, Gin and plot. I would just love Kubo to bits.

I are boy and Bleach is one of first mangas i started to read and at start i liked it very much but now its getting little boring to me.
It feels like they are dragging the story too long with nothing much really happen.

i WATCH bleach and im a girl.
and i read my share of shounen manga just like that (even tho u cant see it under the 1000 sumthing shoujo...)

I heard today two kids in the library, arguing about Bleach and Naruto.
The girl was a fan of Bleach, the boy was a fan of Naruto.

They were about 7 or 8 years old!! 😲
And she used 'baka' in that argument! 😲

Well, there's a dubbed PG version of Naruto on Cartoon Network, so for Naruto I understand. As for Bleach, who knows? And there are girls who prefer shounen to shoujo, like a friend of mine, and me.

Way to go idiot! Pardon, don't generalize and say girls are just watching for the fanservice and the romance. You are aware that not all people like Ichigo and Rukia together. You're aware even though I love IchiRuki I would be way turned off if Ichigo just said "I love you Rukia!" That's just out of character for him =_= I like bleach for the story... (haha plot in my Bleach) yeah I like Ichigo but besides he's the protagonist I'm not really in love with him, shirt on shirt off don't really care.

Actually, most of the girls are more into the story than the guys I know so.. whatever :/

and i use to enjoy reading bleach alot ( good comedy, nice art)
. I think it got lost a bit after rukia was saved but i still enjoy reading it, however now i wait about 2-3 months before reading the new chapters.

bleach has 142 episodes as of right now, 2 ova's and 1 movie, not 200+ episodes. if your refering to manga chapters you might get by, I think they are at what, ch 272 right now? besides that guy is refering to hopeless romantic with an overactive imagination. I dont think he is trying to make a generalization and categorize all women as such.

I'm not even touching the guy vs girl, shonen vs shoujo fight. I'm a man, I know its impossible to win the argument since women are stubborn as hell. I suggest the rest of you guys do the same. trust me guys, its for your own good. sometimes it better for yourself to just play the manga/anime dad with the paper at the dinner table who just nods at everything 😀

What he's doing is being an idiot. Regardless of how many episodes there are, most people won't wait that long for a bit of fanservice. If girls only wanted topless (or bottomless) Ichigo they will turn to fanart and forget about the show. If the poster just wanted to refer to romantics with overactive imaginations he should have said such. Making a blanket statement doesn't imply this at all. But if he says that I think the counterpart would be guys don't watch for the plot either but the fights and boobs.

Oh and by the way, we are at chapter 293 and spoilers for 294 will be out today.

That's probably the only way to keep reading it, cause when you read only one chapter in a week and there's nothing going on, you may simply drop it.
In the chapters from 3 months, there's at least some action and progress... 😃

Okay, maybe I shouldn't call them an idiot but what they said was pretty rude. I'm not saying there aren't girls who don't want more fanservice, but girls aren't the only one. Guys also want more fanservice. He's stating the sole reason girls read bleach is because we want Ichigo to tell Rukia he loves her and we're just waiting for him to rip off his shirt. So yeah I am a bit annoyed.
