What type of martial arts do you like, favor, or want to learn?

Preferably, I like soft martial arts, seeing as I am weaker than most guys in my class, even though I am at an average height. T_T Throwing martial arts also caught my eye lately, preferably aikido, hapkido, and judo. So what you guys think? 😀
Love, isn't a straight cleared out path. It's one with thorns, and perils that life puts in to shape ourselves to be worthy of that person we fall in love with. You just gotta keep walking.

Well there are some martial arts that I wouldn't mind learning.
Hmm just some general kenpo would be nice.
But most of all I would like to master the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryū, too bad I can't find a teacher nor a katana 😛
No but If I were to learn any martial arts I would go for the real deal, not just countering or something like "10 tricks to stay alive" 🙂
I'm also not so much for the throwing thing. Sure if its integrated in the martial art and just part of it, its ok for me. But if the techniques all involve throwing no thanks, I'd still preferr to kick some but!

I did some Karatedo in the past before school got in the way. I like to use my hands and legs so I prefer doing martial arts that involves kicking. Kendo is not that bad. I wouldn't mind learning that one. But if I could choose Kyoudo instead, I'd go for Kyoudo. I know it's not martial arts. I'm just saying. 😀

I did some Karate and Taekwondo before... Kicking is my forte, after all I'm pretty flexible (did some gymnastics before), and I lack power in my punches so my kicks are the only semi-effective alternative.
Another form of martial art I really would have loved to learn, (but I think that now it's way to late) is Capoeira... It's just beautiful!
I like martial arts for the "arts" part, I really find well executed moves to be beautiful and amazing...
Martial arts that rely solely on throwing or ground fighting are really not my type... I just don't see the same kind of beauty in it...
Oh, and just to say, although I did practice some martial arts, I've never been in a fight before... (well not counting the sparring matches). And now that I've been without practice for a long time, I'm starting to lose flexibility, and that makes me sad.

I've done Jujitsu for a while and I still think of it as my favourite. It was so very satisfying to practice all sort of moves, kicking, throwing, twisting. It's a mix of everything and it allowed me to either concentrate or just vent out all frustrations. The feeeling of throwing a guy twice your size is always great for a girl. 😀
And no, I've never been in a "real" fight, I tend to be rather good at placating angry people.

I used to take Tai Chi Chu'an with my husband. Yeah - I know it's something old people do - but you try it. It's fricken hard! But beautiful and such a great workout.

I did taekwondo for a while but I never really did take to it. I guess thats cause I'm a lazy person by nature. I'm not really interested in martial arts but Kendo looks like it would be pretty fun.
If I had to choose I would pick the Saotome Anything Goes style martial arts. ;D

I wanna learn the type of martial arts that makes me undefeatable >.>
Don't really care what style or number of styles as long as I don't get my ass kicked.
The world would be a bleak place without manga.

You don't have to be drunk to use the art.
Tai Chi ftw.
I've taken Kung fu before, but Im taking Judo now. With kung fu, I learned the basics of footwork, and how to take advantage of someone who doesn't have good footwork.
But with Judo, I'd have to say that a grapple and an effective throw is definitely the best way to deal with anyone. Its quick, takes little effort, and quite frankly most fist fights have someone grabbing the other trying to trip em' up or ram em' into a wall. By simply countering those grabs, its an easy win.
I'm not the best at it, but I can hold my own against sensei.(the-fastest-most-limber-man-to-ever-weigh-240 lbs.-ex-marine, mind you... No seriously, he's like a cat)

i like mix only cause if you fighting another martial artist your not just restricted to just one fighting style and can switch it up and become harder to predict your moves..and tai chi is crazy
i was nervous at first it was big & long & went straight up i had to try it i eased onto it & liked it! i went up & down on it.... i love escalators now! 😀

I am currently a first Dan black belt in shotokan karate, which I like because it gives me the basics of fighting really well and good reflexes. Plus it helps me kick ass in a stand up/street fight. I'm looking to learn a grapple-type martial art now tho, because my friend who is in wrestling can kick my ass in like a sec if he can get me on the ground, I'd like to learn some Brazillian jiu-jitsu, judo or mabey sambo.
