Looking for anime, novel, or manga recommendations that include a quite overpowered or just stronger than most others, hot male main character that hides(optional)their normal self as they save ordinary people under a heroic identity. Eventually the main character is going to reveal their identity and everyone is shocked about it, kind of feeling. Something like spiderman with an underestimated nerdy normal self would be even better, but not necessary.

None of:
-Too much fan service
-harem (unless obvious ship between two characters)
-heavy perverted main character
-yoai (BL fine)
-yuri/GL
-early reveals(eh unless they’re just badass in general)

Optional:
-strong female character (weaker than man)
-romance
-school
-historical asia
-modernized art style

Honestly the first thing that came to mind was Rurouni Kenshin but he doesnt hide his identity that much. Also Ao no Exorcist though I wouldnt say he has an alternate heroic identity. Sorry for only recommending two obvious ones, I'm sure there's lot of this kind of mangas.

Thanks! I was considering watching Rurouni Kenshin but never had the motivation to watch it, so I’ll try that first. I watched Ao no Exorcist as well, but I stopped after a couple of episodes because I didn’t really enjoy it. Thanks for the recommendations!

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei... though everyone sort of know that he is good/better than them, just not exactly how OP he is until near the end of the anime run/ light novel vol 7/ the third manga series...
