Seriously, why do you people still read this?

The latest volume, volume 49 just got translated and as I expected from the famous stupidiot retard known as Kishimoto, he never cease to amaze me every single time. When I thought Naruto couldn't be any idiotic, he shocked me with a whole new level of BS once again.
Still, I will continue reading it because I bought the entire series from scratch. This manga started way back when I was at my last year of highschool, when it was an actually good manga. I have graduated from college now and but this manga still going strong until today, so this manga has so many memories for me (at least the first 16 volumes).
Well, that's my story. Why do you keep reading (or better yet, buying) this pitiful excuse of a manga?

Heh. For the same reason you do: we all started it when we were much younger, enjoyed it quite a bit in the beginning, and have stuck with it for so long that it's hard to stop. Plus every now and then, Kishimoto will put out a good chapter that reminds us how it used to be. (The stuff that's happened in the latest chapters ~500 has been mostly enjoyable to people, me included.)
Is the manga good? No, no it isn't. (Half the time I can't even disagree with you on it being a piece of crap.)
But there's worse out there (it certainly doesn't offend me in any way), and it takes all of two minutes to read every week. So whatever.
BTW: What was it that happened in 49 that made you roll your eyes? (I don't keep up with the volume releases.)

Yup.
I read it because I want to get to the main Sasuke vs Naruto fight. I started a couple of years back so I'm still new to it. I agree Kishimoto isn't the best writer out there but at least he's not like...well the manga could be worse.
Why not? It takes me a minute (maybe two) to read a chapter a week.
Why are people still complaining about why others choose to read mainstream manga? Yes. People are reading manga that's popular. Get over it.

I keep reading because it's a piece of my childhood; it was the first manga I ever read. I started it back when it was a baby at 70 or so chapters, and after reading something for so many years and making it a habit, it's hard to stop. Besides, it doesn't cost me anything, so what reason is there to stop in the first place?

In volume 48...
Pain killed everybody on Konoha, and somehow get beaten by our beloved wimpy teenage ninja brat. Then Pain tells that [tragicstory]whatever lame made-up self pity excuse like that.[/tragicstory] As always, Narutard's bleeding heart forgive him, ignoring that Pain has destroyed his hometown and killed hundreds of innocent random ninja extras. Then Pain casts this super ultra hyper might extra ninjutsu and everybody comes back to live, ultimately sparing Naruto from an otherwise inevitable upcoming senseless beatings from his surviving fellow ninja (I know I would).
And it somehow gets worse on volume 49.
The whole idea of that volume is this:
Ninja extra #1: Yo check this out. Sasuke killed ninja extra #2, and his momma is so ugly, her porn site got 0 hit everyday. So Imma keel em fo' that.
Narutard : Still I'm gonna help him for no logical reason at all, except for this manga being a yaoi in disguise.
Sakura : *cries
That's it. That's the WHOLE STORY. Then the story jumps to a randomly picked character character, who conveniently is explaining the oh-so-tragic-story of Sasuke, despite that he's on a totally different set of location.
At least at volume 48 we have a new batch of idiotic characters. And it's being repeated for the last gazillion volumes. For Christ sake Kishimoto, we get the point. Please move from the constant whining and *****ing. It get boring after a gazillion of volumes.
Lets do the world a favor and not just trash manga here. Naruto isnt the best but its definitely not the worst.

that's your opinion, some people don't like Naruto at all. For me, it's still a rockin' manga.

I agree with you! I never bothered to read the manga because I was not that interested in the anime to begin with. Although anime and manga can sometimes be different.. I just didn't really like naruto to begin with.. but thats just my opinion ;]

Not everyone shares the same views and ideals as you on life. Maybe your just getting too old for Naruto, it was kind of aimed for teens and kids anyways.

I actually did stop reading because the main plot point ended a long time ago. Naruto is well off and respected and people don't treat him badly - end of story -
