Well I personaly really like to play them more than 3-d so just wanted to know your favorite. Mine might be Street Fighter 2 or Mealty Blood.

I'm not a huge fan of 2-d fighter, but I pick the first street fighter, the coin-op one.

Marvel vs Capcom 2, as many have posted. I loved the dreamcast version of that game.

I also have a special place in my heart for Guilty Gear X2, since it has the BEST animation of any 2d fighter hands down.

Mortal Kombat hands down imo. Street Fighter 2 was great as well. I've also tried Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear and King of Fighters. They were cool.

Guilty Gear series (Accent Core now) or Hokuto no Ken , basically anything from Arc System Works

not much of a fighting game type, so smash bros for the n64
brawl and melee are cool, but the first was the most epic
