Oye, scratch getting it pushed through, at the rate this is going this thread itself will be locked because it has degenerated into a petty squabble between some of the younger members (and some older I guess) calling each other immature . . and thus reminding us why this suggestion was ever brought out to begin with. Ironic isn't it?

Note: Actually in this case I think its just xombiemonkey making fun of himself again, but it makes for a great example without having to single people out.

this has become spammy... i think even if it the 18+ forum gets hidden or age-locked some topics can still discuss things that should be in the 18+ forum. There are a bunch of threads that were created in the chatroom and then moved to the 18+.
I don´t mind users of 16 or 17 years old on the 18+ forum, but younger... What is the point of a 18+ forum if it´s gotten spammed by some 18- users.

sorry, i now remember that only some 18- are spammers in the 18+ section (and in every other section of the forums too).

Perhaps the rules in the section can just be enforced more strictly? That way, if someone does start acting too immature, they can maybe be banned from only that forum for a set amount of time?

I have no idea if that'd work; it was just an idea that randomly popped into my head. But at least that'd address the immaturity issue without relying solely on someone's age as evidence...

Not that that was my intention...

I just meant that harsher punishments would be given out for small crimes in comparison to the rest of the forums. For example, if a new member were to spam/double-post/whatever in the 18+ section, they would be banned from the section for a while just for one rule violation. (Of course, this wouldn't be the policy for the rest of the site; that'd be ridiculous...)
