Has anyone ever become so obsessed with a series they tried looking for fanart, model, posters, etc immediately after reading it? And continuously checking for new release of the next chapter/ episode (anime too.) ,which felt like it would never come out?
This has happened to me so many times. But a couple months later, I always go "man, why the **** did I waste my time on this crap?" or move onto another new series 🤣

I feel I'm completely safe from ever succumbing to this simply because I am FAR to much of a cheap scape to ever spend money on posters and models 😁 not that I wouldn't pay money for the actual manga, just well, I take being cheap to another level, and I'm damn proud of it!

I started reading Love Hina a little while back. Took me three days to finifavsh it. At school Love Hina was all could think about and I even tried to use the computers in the school library to read it. The couple weeks after I finished it were the most obsessive days of my life. I looked for everything that had to do with Love Hina (including hentai). Then I made the mistake of watching the English version of the anime. I can never see Mitsune in the same way again. To this day, Love Hina is still my favorite manga of all time.
Glados is a bitch. She made me kill the companion cube, the only friend I'll ever have. 😢

Any manga I've become temporarily obsessed with is still one of my favorites. 😀
I've looked at a lot of stuff online, but I don't buy "goods" other than manga...except for a couple of drama CDs.

Yeah, it happened to me. I'm getting obsessive rather easily.
That sounded wrong, oh well.

It pretty much ALWAYS happens to me whenever I read a good manga. 😀
Currently, I'm obsessed with V for Vendetta, even though I've only seen the movie T3T I wish to buy the comic book soon ^^

I get obsessed with certain series, but never to the extent that I buy models or something. I don't think I've ever regretted an obsession (usually it just means I spend another few days re-reading/watching the series and maybe buy a shirt).
It tends to be more the case that I get a little bit depressed (for lack of a better word) after I finish something that's really good, and can't get into anything new for a week or two simply because I've been spoiled by it. Doesn't happen very often though.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...
I was obsessed with Skip Beat for about a month.....
then I got over it.
I haven't touched Skip Beat in 2 months. 😲

Yeah, that happens to me too, haha. That's when you know what you were reading/watching was really good. 🙂
As far as the original topic, the only anime I ever got like that over was DBZ (my first anime), 7 years ago. A teenager with a obsession over a fighting anime: mimicing things I'd rather not share. 🤣
