Quote from mariamyassin30

When the main girl is stupid & the main guy is smart.
Girl likes guy... guy doesn't know & can't take a hint.
Guy finds out & always liked her too fake gasp
Girl dates guys.. someone gets in the way.
The guy tells the "person in the way" that she is his... blah blah blah...
They live happily ever after!

=P

... That pretty much sums it up =D

Wow thats sounds like Hot Gimmick >_<

The most unrealistic cliche I've seen is
High school girl/college student/women meets strange good looking man/guy.
Falls in love.
Moves in with him or he moves in with her that day.
Family or business issues happens.
Every one excepts them.
Then live happily every after.

They always seem to fall in love with guys 10 years older than them.

Someone probably already said this already. Not the worst, but close enough for me:

Average to ugly girl having to choose between two (or more) bishies. Those bishies, for some strange, odd and unknown reason or other falls in love with her. One guy must be the outgoing ladies man, the other a stoic loner that likes to pick on her.

Note: Average to Ugly girl must be drawn to look better than the girls that are supposed to be better looking than her and exudes some really lame characteristics that no person under the age of 25 would say or do. (Read: Parfait Tic.)

I don't know if anyone said this one but ... the nurse ?? Why is the nurse never there? xP
The main person trips (yes, another clumsy shoujo girl) and the hot guy carries her to the infirmary, but ... the nurse isn't there. They are alone 😛
I don't think I have ever read a shoujo where the nurse is actually working ;P

555+ I agree with you. where the nurse?

I actually not bore with cliche moment but If it's too predictable, I don't like it.

I second this one, in almost every genre (exept some shounen, where the nurse exists for fanservice)
Honestly, why are infirmaries only ever used for smut, especially when the girl is supposed to be in pain??

It's too late at night for me to read 20 pages, but i just thought of a cliche I hate. When the guy follows the girl into a school by becoming the teacher. I enjoy student-teacher romances, but forcing a character relationship (and not necessarily a romance-type relationship either) into a student-teacher is driving me nuts.

Too many pages to see if this was mentioned already. XD

This is directed at ALL celebrity/talent/music-based shoujos:
-When the female lead struggles to achieve a certain level of success and gives up right at that moment, but then receives advice from one (if not all) her love interest and immediately she has garnered enough self confidence to succeed at whatever task at hand. ._____.

-When the female lead finds a new rival in their working environment. Said rival stops at nothing to jeopardize the female lead's chance of either succeeding at her new job, or getting the attention of her love interest.

-When the female lead's manager (chief, president, mother, friend, etc..) sets up a way so that the she is seen in a compromising position (or simply just seen) with either a famous character (model, singer, dancer, etc...) by reporters...>.>

One or all of the above applied

So maybe not all celebrity-typed shoujos, but I'm sure I can name at least seven at the top of my head that follow these cliches. 🤢

Somehow I hate the "thumb sucking" scenes. And after that the girl still wonders if the guy likes her. Common, you would not lick another person unless you like her/him.

Hands down the perfect prince's redemption.

He's oh-so smart, athletic, talented, handsome, rich, kind, and just plain perfect!
But oh, wait, he has a troubled past and it's tearing him apart behind that mask of perfection.
Have no fear, our heroine will accept him just as he is and heal him and teach him that he doesn't need to be perfect.

Ditzy, supposedly ugly but actually very cute girl falls in love with the coolest guy in school whose sort of an ass at first but eventually falls in love with her as well. Next would be the many unnecessary males that fall in love with her as well and are just placed there for the drama even though they 'think' they love her.

I barf everytime I read overdone crap like this.

Worst Shojo cliche: Slice of life - where the girl is bullied and then falls in love with her bully. for example: Hot Gimmick, Love Celeb, Haou Airen, Boys over Flowers.

Too lazy to read every single post...

Anyway, I absolutely despise how the lead female just casually agrees to helping or supporting her rival's endeavors to get the guy when she knows perfectly very well that she likes him too.

Or if the rival has this bad girl attitude and says something like "so don't get in my way!" to the lead female.

Or if there's some obsessed fangirls that pulls the lead into the bathroom or some dark alley and tell her something like: "So and so belongs to everyone!" And in some instances, they physically abuse her and scatter like roaches when the guy of interest suddenly shows up.

Or if a female childhood friend (and her friends) to the guy of interest bullies the female lead or cunning convinces her that there is something more to their relationship.

Or if there's just some random girl that's too shy to tell the guy of interest that she likes him by herself, so she brings about two or three other girls with her and they all do the talking while she just stands there with her head bowed.

Or...I could go on and on and on. LOL

well, anyways..Hana Kimi also had some scenes that made me go aaw but i can't remember eather...geez

in general, i hate love triangles, and when the two guys love one single girl [ex: absolute boyfriend] and such...totally hate it=D 🙁
