Good afternoon everyone! I'm relatively new to the manhwa world, but I'm very interested in it. Therefore, recently I had a question, where to look for announcements of new manhwa? I noticed that I see them very late compared to other people who are already sharing information with might and main. Please tell me... I use Twitter for this, but even then I don’t find everything. 😢

Half of my suggestions come from YouTube

Start watching recaps of manga/manhwa/manhua on various channels in your feed

You don't have to watch the full recap (I don't!)

Subscribe to a couple of channels

And start watching and reading the video shorts and community posts that come from both the subscribed channels, and similar channels recommended by the YouTube algorithm

Many are from people who are in that country, or can understand that language, or are very avid in search

Lots are prerelease teasers or new releases still only licensed in original languages, some still even not touched by fan tl according to Baka or Google

Titles (some alternate translations) and synopses might be given by channel, but other times by commenters

Use the title and search in Baka, Anime-Planet and others for comments/reviews if it's been out long enough, and source of original licensed, fan tl, and licensed in your language translations portals

Keep using YouTube, along with TikTok and InstaGram for the trends (once the algorithm for you kicks in) and keep reading comments

Commenters are your Beta readers, and can warn you of duds or problematic tropes

They can also recommend other titles, new and OLDER, that may sound interesting to you

These are not reviews of titles, but suggestions

You will still be jumping in mostly blind but I think it's worth the dare

And it doesn't have to be new releases

Let the algorithms roll dice and bring up older videos, shorts, and posts

Because it will be NEW TO YOU!

Cheers! 😀
