So I'm reading a couple series i bought called Theme World and Black Warriors and I'm trying to add categories to them.

I noticed that in both of them, they seem to have random appearances of characters from other manga series.
For example in Theme World I found kakashi from Naruto in a crowd.
It gets a little more intense in Black Warriors cause not only do I see characters like Kakashi (and also just found Doreaman), one of the volume art pages had the main character dressed up and posed like the volume 1 cover of Naruto

Anyways, I just want to know what this would be called, cause i don't think it can be considered a "spoof" as they aren't actually mocking/making fun of any other series. its more like a "Where's Waldo" type of effect...

Also, if there is already a category specified for this, then that would be best =)

Anyways, it's called "Allusion" or "Homage".

Just random appearances are Allusions but something like Berserk would have a Homage under it's name.
