Okay, I am not an "expert" in gangs, but I do know that there is a 13th street gang in LA, no, they are not a large gang, no, they are NOT a hispanic gang, but they do exist. Yes, I am aware of the "Sur 13" group, I frequent Mac Park nearly daily, for, altho, I myself am not hispanic, I am Hungarian, and ethnic Hungarians are NOT WHITE, we are darker, brown, to very brown, mostly. There are a few, very few, light skinned "Arian" type Hungarians, but those persons are the result of intermarriage to middle Euro Peoples, they are not pure bred Hungarians. Just as in South American Cultures, there are Castiallian Spanish, very white, very euro type peoples, who are direct descendants of Euro Spain, and, there are purebred, native people, AND, there are people who are the result of intermariage, between the races. This is true in Hungary as well, altho a small country, a microcosm of the world all around us.

Because I am dark skinned, I am not comfortable in "white" neighborhoods, people think I am Chicano, or Mexican, they treat me as "Not White".... Well, okay, fine, I really don't have a problem with that, I am not white, in fact, I am proud NOT TO BE WHITE. So I frequent Mac Park, And I frequent Elysian Park, and frequent Silver Lake, and, and, and... Griffith park, various sections.

I am not here to contest your knowledge, understanding, or your level of cultural appreciation for the gang culture of Los Angeles. To be sure, it is obvious to me, that you are a greater authority in this area than I am. However, as a comic zine artist/writer, I have studied the art, the grafitti, the piecers, the tags, the I have been photographing these things for many years now. In addition to my work with zines, I have been compiling a photographic journal, over the years, of the graffiti art of the greater LA Area. I wish to publish a book, wish I will probably, but not definately call, "Piece In LA"...

To be honest, I am not looking for a conflict, I am not looking to discredit another person, I came here for one, and only one reason, to obtain an email address, so that I can send a resume, including digital images of my self published back issues of my zine, "faga-zine". I also have in my possession all of the copyright documents, every single issue was copyrighted separately, I have those, and those copyrights are in my name, David Lee Frater.

Please try to understand, I am exactly who and what I say, this is not a joke of some kind, this is not some sort of internet "role playing" game at all. I am really, actually, in real life, one of the last living descendants of a very noble heritage, that of a gentleman warrior of the Hussar Tradition.

I was carefully trained, by my Father, in these ancient arts of combat, as was he, and his father, and on and on like that for several centuries.

The training, the discipline, a child of this kind of family recieves is very demanding, very hard, very difficult. We are trained, very early, to control emotion, to never "get mad", to never "loose it", for in battle, it is never the warrior of brute strength who wins, it is the calm warrior, devoid of all fear and emotion, who thinks very clearly, calmly, at all times, who wins.

Battles have never, ever been won because one General was more brilliant, or better trained than his opponent. All men of this level of trust, to recieve the rank of "General", are essentially equal in all areas of education, training, background, family history, et all... The assumption, that some German General was a nincompoop, and the American General, who barely made it through school at all, won the battle because he was so much smarter and better trained than his opponent, is only true in American Hollywood war movies. In actual military history, this is never the case. Battles are allways won, by the man of calm mind, who thinks very clearly, never allowing emotion to control of his thinking, and can see, the tatical mistakes of his opponent, and then exploits that mistake. Battles are lost, because someone made a mistake, and the opponent knew that, exploited that, and defeated him. Never by brillant planning.

Even today, over 2,000 years after Alexander the Great fought his last battle, his battle tatics are still mandatory study for all cadets at West Point.... None of all of our massive technogoly has changed this simple fact of human conflict one iota at all. The calm, thinking warrior wins, the emotional one, makes mistakes, and causes his own defeat because of his lack of self control.

Yes, I did read your post, I followed that post, I found the contact button, and I sent off my letter to ask permission to offer my resume.

I am not ignoring you, nor do I wish to ignore anyone here, and no, I do not believe any of you to be "buttheads". People of different cultures perhaps, people who do not "march to the same drum", as all others do, poet warriors one and all, whether by birth, or self created, warriors one and all. People I consider to be "Bretherin", not to exclude females at all, but their is no word in English that expressess the concepts of female, male, and nueter, as exist in other languages.

Because we are from differing cultures, differing heritage, differing familial alliances, differing gentics, et all... mis-understandings, and mis-conceptions often arise, especially during the awkward few hours of initial introductions.

In a nutshell, "no hard feelings", I consider you all at least my equal, and some, perhaps, my better, but no one here I consider below me in any way.

Yes, I am formal, that is because I am older, educated, formally trained, from the very first moments of life. This is what I am, if this is "creepy" or "suspicious" to you, that is your perception, that is not necessarily truth, for truth is relative, to many things, background, training, education, maturity, and many other things as well.

What is truth, is based on perception, what is reality, is also based upon perception. How we percieve, is the bassis of all reality, but my reality, cannot ever be, your reality, nor yours mine. They are always different versions of the same reality, the same truth, filtered by the frail human mind, which is allways filled with mis-conceptions, mis-understandings, assumptions based upon prejudice, and not scientific fact... etc., etc., etc.,

So, is the very nature of "Truth", and "Reality", in and of itself, a false concept to begin with?

Perhaps it is, but mortal beings must have some sort of common agreement on basic concepts, or, no communication at all can be possible at all, not even on the most basic of levels.

You may find me "creepy" because I am "formal".
