It used to be amazingly fun, but now, I can't stand how easy it is. But you still have to put in effort to get good gears.

Played for a while back in 2005. Was okay for a while.
Hackers have been there since the beginning.,
Partly why I hated it. Partly because it takes just
way too much time and the combat is just about smashing
one single button over and over again, for hours if not days.
Had too little content besides the grinding.
Any game with a lousy nProtect or whatever small applet won't
prevent hackers from hacking. The anti-hacks are just shitty.

lol maplestory is so easy now. you can get lvl 30 in 2 hurs. they changed the exp curve
I only go on now and then to check out new content. playing new class and seeing new maps

the only good think about this game is the funny faces you can make with the emotion butons

The only good thing I can think of about maple is that you can watch anime while playing it, since holding the attack key and buffing every 3 minutes doesnt exactly require a lot of attention. Talking with friends, trying out new classes and derping around for the events is all that's worth doing nowadays. At least it isn't as rage-inducing as playing LoL (but at the expense of fun).

Maplestory was only fun when you couldn't get to level 100 in like 2 days lmao. There were a lot of private servers for MS that made the exp multiplier 100x that of MS, but now the original MS is more like a private server where you can get overpowered equips and insane damage.
