You're worried about the depiction of smoking in yaoi manga, or that the non-smoking partner doesn't have more of a problem with the smoking, or the fact that a fictional character will eventually have smoking related problems that might kill him?

I'm just gonna generalize here. I do find smoking manga characters a turn-off sometimes, but I don't think that just that reason would stop me from reading the series altogether. Especially if it's yaoi. 🤣

I get where you're coming from. Smoking is a lot more common in Japan than it is in a lot of other countries, and it still seems to be associated with that "cool" image, despite everything.

I have no problem with smoking as long as it contributes to the plot and character development/image

if we ban stuff because they're bad, then there would be nothing to talk about. killing is bad, right? so there shoudn't be murder either. oh! and underage sex....as if we dont have that in yaoi...

Smoking is sexy as all get out as long as it's a drawing and I don't have to put up with it.
