I'm looking for two types of romantic stories and so combined them into one thread.

A) 1st is where the main protagonist (male) is usually traveling frequently. He would meet his love interest (female) infrequently because of either one's work, quest, journey, etc. They would cross paths exchanging flirtations between the time lapse.

I would prefer a story centered around this type of relationship.

Examples:
-Ed and Winry in Fullmetal Alchemist
-Ares and Ariadne in Ares

B) Second is where the couple, who are not yet together, attempt to woo the other despite opposition from friends, family, societal norms, without realizing they are interested in each other. In my mind, it would be a short-story romantic comedy where both their plans fail miserably, but their attraction spurs them to continue.

I would prefer if both characters were active in courtship, rather than have one active (chaser) and one passive (chase-ee?). I can't think of an example.

Realism for both stories would be a plus. Would prefer seinen or josei, but willing to compromise =p

Please exclude the genres: mecha, rape, yaoi, shoujo/shounen-ai, yuri, gender bender, lolicon, shotacon, 4koma

Thank you very much! 😀

I'd say for A try Kiseijuu , or BM: Nectar. They fit what you are looking for. Also a bit older but maybe YuYu Hakusho
For B although shoujo, I'd say Monkey High maybe.

Thank you for the response. I've read YuYu Hakusho, but Kiseijuu looks interesting.

Reading Monkey High atm. I like it so far. 🙂
