I was seized in the grip of a black rage for a few moments when I first saw John Mayer and Fallout Boy's cover of Beat It. Somehow I doubt their cover of the classic is motivated by an actual appreciation of or desire to pay tribute to Michael Jackson as opposed to a lack of talent on their part and/or a cynical exploitation of the fact that most John Mayer or Fallout Boy fans will be too young or too stupid to even realize it's a cover and not their original song.

I also HATE Kate Nash + Madonna + Justin Timberlake + Screamo music that bursts your eardrums even when you have the volume UBER low. I like soft rock/alternative rock/indie/indie-pop << just not screamo, and I mean like proper screamo

I have yet to find a Black Metal band that strikes my fancy. Cookie Monster vocals are the worst thing ever.

Though I did see an interesting vid of CoB playing some jazzy stuff.
