Hm. I really have no idea, reading manga isn't something I feel compelled to do, it's just something I enjoy whenever I feel like it - which is often on a daily basis, I must admit. smile

I've taken long pauses when dorama is more appealing, but I never thought to keep track of how long the pauses have been. A few weeks to a month, I suppose? That's not an option in the poll, though...

When I started reading manga, I didn't know that there were scanlations... (and wasn't as addicted as I am now), so I could go without for a few months, waiting for the manga volume to pile up before I buy it.

Right now, about a couple of weeks at most, since I have to read some weekly-released series.

I was also pretty casual when I started, so I think there were gaps of several months.

Since I started reading scanlations, maybe 2 months on one occasion, but usually I have to catch up at least once a week.

This happens when i go to vacation or going oversea, so the longest maybe 2 weeks. I can't say that manga is my everyday to do list when i have time i read it depends on the releases.

A couple of weeks at most even before scanlations, usually when the ongoing series I actively keep up with take a break nothing new is released. Before scanlations (when I bought/borrowed all the manga I read) if I didn't have anything to read I'd just re-read something I haven't read in a while.

I'm not so sure... When I started with fruits basket I didn't have many sources for downloading manga. It was just Fruits Basket.
So I read it... (it was years ago, so I'm not sure how often)...
Then I found out there were more good manga, like GTO and FMA...
After that, I encountered the evil empire (when it was still in the old forum) and found Berserk +_+ And boys next door...*sob*

Needless to say, I was hooked from that point.
Reading manga is a hobby, it's not like I'm addicted and I must have my "fix"... There are times I have less time, sick, or just don't feel like reading manga.

"A week or so" probably.

The first week of March will be 5 months for me, so I chose "A few months".

I had to take a couple breaks now and then when I was in the Army and was deployed. Once I got out and had nothing restricting access the longest I've taken was a couple weeks.

14 months this was when I first started reading manga though. Anyway we were going back to my country and I actually made sure to pack at least a 3month supply of manga only to have my suitcase forgotten in the airport. And where I live there was no way to get any manga at all. I was mad for about three months only because there was a lucky soul out there who was probably reading Fruits Basket, Bleach and Naruto and probably did not understand a word of it no

But nowadays I could go a week or so...sometimes because of releases or just because I'm too busy.

About 4 months or so.
Not that hard.
