How about Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!?
i remember when i went to korea a year ago that Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! and Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts was really popular in the anime festival 🙄

Though Reborn is quite popular, I doubt it has the potential to reach as high as OP or even Bleach. I have to say it's getting more interesting with the new arc and everything.
Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts are not serialized in Shounen Jump, actually. So we can't put them on the same stand.

Beelzebub has been amazing so far, better than bleach and naruto in my opinion. I don't see why it would not reach the level of the big three in terms of popularity. Bleach was great but it seems to me that the author is just trying to forcefully push on, since i thought it would be over once ichigo beat aizen you know?.

As much as everyone says that the current manga's have the possibilty to beat the big 3's, I'd say its not even going to be something current. Probably going to be something entirely new, not even out yet x.x

That's usually how the craze phase always works out.

I gotta say, while I like a bunch of series more then Naruto and Bleach (maybe like 1 or 2 series more then One Piece? possibly, one was Full Metal and that's finished anyway) I don't think many series will have the potential to knock them out of their place. Really the only manga that comes to mind when I think of one of the three (Bleach) being knocked out of the Big Three is Toriko. It just has a quality, I don't know what, but it seems to be pretty popular and if anything was going to take over a spot it would be that.

I love Bakuman, but the story isn't right to get it place in the Big Three, its a bit too niche. Beelzebub may have a shot, but I think its starting to fall into too many cliches to really get up there. Reborn has been going down since the Future ark so I don't think that will reach Big Three status. If Toriko doesn't take a spot then I think it will be something that hasn't even come out yet. I by no means like Toriko more then alot of things in Jump, I like Bakuman, Beelzebub, Sket Dance, Gintama all more then Toriko but I just think it has this quality that will allow it to be in the Big Three.

I am hoping Black God will. It's a shounen/seinen that is just abnormally super amazing. I personally would also love to see Jack Frost rise to fame and glory

Gantz (amazing) is sadly coming to an end, and I don't know if Calymore is too (I really hope not).

I remember reading and dropping black god because the main character was some p---y who couldn't defend himself, and i don't recall anyone named Jack Frost (vividly remember that name from something else).

Fairy Tail and Beelzebub both don't see any end in sight. I remember when Bleach was relatively new, never thought it would join the ranks of OP and naruto.

As much as I want it to be other great series, the only 2 that really jump out to me are Toriko and Nurarihyon no Mago, though I don't know about Nurarihyon since it's gotten really graphic lately and the story has been getting really boring.

Jack Frost would be Atlus, who makes the Shin Megami Tensei Series, or as you probably know them better as the spinoff, Persona.

Ao no Exorcist

With the recent success & popularity that the series has worldwide, I think Ao no Exorcist will slowly become a juggernaut if Kato-sensei keeps up her balanced writing.

I actually wrote about what possibly makes the series a smash hit at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/9917351130/blue-exorcist-popularity.

Someone even mentioned that Ao no Exorcist might be the One Piece of JUMP Square. Any agreement to that?

I have to agree with MangaTherapy. I've been hearing a TON about Ao no Exorcist lately... I think what may determine it is how long it ends up running.

Kekkaishi and Fairy Tale are both pretty popular, but I don't think they'll ever make "big three" status.

meh, I do believe Ao no Exorcist could be one, but at this point it simply dosent have enough content to be a fair contender.
My vote would probably go to the dark horse, Mahou Sensei Negima! - if ken akamatsu decides to go more in depth into the whole magic world and Negi the hero buisness. However, its very possible that it ends soon, so im not getting my hopes up. 😀

nurarihyon no mago had GREAT potential maybe a couple years ago
but then the author fell into a boring trap where he dragged on the arcs and battles
on top of that I think the anime sucked.

ao no exorcist will never become big at its monthly pace... though I'm quite happy with its combination of slow releases and good quality. The anime has also veered off course, which is never really good....

beelzebub has potential, but will only reach the status if the author changes the plot somehow

A lot of mangas seem too long into their prime to become big, and a lot of mangas are completed....
So I think only a new manga would be the next "big three" manga

and of course, it will have to be shounen, so no seinen/shojo/josei because those target audiences are much smaller next to shounen's. And it will have to be extremely long and drag-out-able

actually... I'm still really angry that nurarihyon no mago lost its potential

Only problem, other than FT never drew me in, is that Kekkashi is over and has been completed. It could have possibility for a sequel, but it seems pretty final to me.

Another title that could be big is Shingeki no Kyojin. That title seems to be on everyone's radar in Japan. However, it's only a monthly title and no anime adaptation. I do wonder how the live-action movie adaptation will do, but that won't come out until 2013.

Yeah as MangaTherapy said Shingeki no Kyojin has potential as does Ao no Exorcist but probably have to become weekly releases.

Beezlebub will probably be as big (nearly?) in a year or two but will need to change things around after this arc.

I also think Kurogane and ST&RS are really good from what I've seen so far and if they keep it up will be up there with the rest of the popular mangas but both are still in the first volume...so too early to tell.
