Naruto can die. I mean depending on how he dies it would be possible to revive him, I mean they did do that for Garra did they not? Im pretty sure the consensus of the group was that he was dead and the old lady gave her life to bring him back, though he may have only been like 90% dead or something like that.

But while Naruto can die, nothing will every actually remove him from the story, since well it is supposed to be about him, at least I think.

what happens really is that naruto dies and came back alive two days later. the kuyubi power healed him.

Ah, but wasn't it stated that only Chiyo can use that jutsu? And she died already anyways...
