Should/ will CielxSebastian happen?

Pretty straightforward. Everyone who reads Kuroshitsuji knows that there are a bunch of fangirls out there who are in love with the CielxSebastian couple, and I was wondering where all of you stand.
Sorry, I realized too late that there should have been an "I'm not sure option". Feel free to expand on your answers.

Far as I know, everything has been of the implicit "fangirl tease" varierty. I mean the manga is still shounen, not shounen-ai, even if the fan base has ended up being mostly fangirls.

Can I just say something that I just thought of? According to the anime, Ciel loves Sebastian more than his own parents. Because when Sebastian took a picture of Ciel with that camera that would show the person not of this world who was most important to you, it showed Sebastian. Not Ciel's parents. And his parents would have totally worked, since they were dead.
I know the anime is no where near as legitimate as the book, but I still think this is noteworthy.

i love yaoi but i wouldnt like THAT to happen, i guess a part of me wants to bcz they are always together and bcz of the things i read, btu then again, kuro is more than just "lets see if they happen to do H things" i read it for other reasons, and whatever happens as long as is well made, i dont care.

I think that the relationship they're in right now is perfect for them, but I guess I wouldn't mind romantic tension between them (especially since I don't like Lizzy at ALL). They're relationship is already so complex that I think romance would only make it deeper and more interesting.
Ultimately, though, I think Ciel deserves more than Sebastian (and definitely more than an arranged marriage with his cousin), but I think we all know Ciel isn't going to get the ending he deserves. His fate has pretty much been decided since the day he was kidnapped and his parents were killed.

I don't think it would totally go against the story of the manga, as long as it was never a happy romance, you know? Like, it would have to be one-sided or possessive or creepy or something to work. Basically, I think romance between them would be possible, but what wouldn't be possible would be happiness between them.

It shouldn't and imo it won't happen cause i think that Ciel sees Sebastian rather as a replacement for his parents than a possible lover

don´t forget the mangaka used to draw yaoi and kuroshitsuji was also planned as yaoi. it´s not really against the story fufufufu still it won´t happen because it´s shounen

Like juls91, I like yaoi, but I don't want really want to see any Ciel x Sebastian action.
There's just something about that pairing that I don't want to see...

I didn't know it was planned to be yaoi. Thank you for the info! 🙂
it was thanks to the editor that it didn´t become one. s/he said the story would be to good for BL and decided to turn it into shounen. i got the info from here, donßt know about the original source
maybe toboso-sensei makes a doujin, like some female authors Coughgravitationcough
but in the end, more people can enjoy it as shounen. imagine the faces of the male readers if sebastian and ciel would suddenly kiss or confess. half of the readers would be gone

Too good for BL? I hope the editor didn't mean the BL (and other mature genres) don't have good and/or deep plots. Their focus is another but they do have interesting plots.
It is difficult to change a manga genre once a serie is started and it gained fans. But imo Kuro is so goog that it would have the same number of fans whatever genre it was started in the begining. Just they would be different depending of the genre but no much different as a number.

no, not that i think. to good to be only read by yaoi readers. it is better to let it be available for a larger audience without BL as for a much smaller audience with BL. it seems the story concept was really really good so it would be a shame if that compared less readers could enjoy it
