If anything its going to borrow the name and just tell the story without the music. I really hope it does that. Story is readable and watchable without music.

Okay, so I agree that a High School Musical manga is ridiculous and I have no desire to read it. (And dubby, love the graphic). But, isn't the plot rather shoujo-ish? I'm going off the summary I read on wiki, since this kind of movie isn't my cup of tea, but had this not been an american movie first, don't you think it could pass as a standard, cliche-filled shoujo manga? Just saying...
