This manga probably suits well at a certain age range of audience/readers.. Maybe it's meant for Children who likes disney. The manga doesnt necessarily be targeted to older manga readers like us.

What's the big deal? From what I know of the plot, it seems pretty par for the course for a shoujo manga. The art on the cover seems pretty typical too. If there had never been a High School Musical, this would just be another generic shoujo that some people would like and some people would dislike.

You all need to stop overreacting, it's the nature of the beast to milk a franchise for all its worth, especially one as successful as HSM. Don't forget too, that just as people in the US seem to be obsessed with all things Japan, Japanese people are obsessed with all things American.

agreed. i mean, i still think its a joke and the teaser made me laugh, but only because i saw the movies and laughed at how silly they are. if not, i wouldn't think anything of it, just another main stream shoujo.

And why is the whole 'music' part of it looked down upon when there are many shoujos out there that have dancing and singing as a plot device. 🤨

Anyway, all this thread is doing is bashing a manga half of the posters here haven't even read, and if they have it was just a teaser.

lol, only one chapter and so many bad reviews already...i'm sure there is more hate for the two protagonists and their real life romance than the adaptation.. 🤣

hahaha. 🤣 And I thought people would jump all over this. Highschool Musical is like a virus evading every country I mean, at the beginning of school this year, we had to sing with a singalong spanish version of some song in the second movie that I didn't even watch. 😔 In Spanish... as if not hard enough in english, and now it's a manga, if it were an anime, well thats different, but this seems like it's going to be a manga with lotta cursive looking font in sparkly speech bubbles might I add. I wonder if there will be any words? 😃

lol if you think about it people are reading it. You can't help but read cause you just gotta see how they are putting this into a manga. Yeah we had mangas with singing and dancing but the singing and dancing only lasted a little while. These are whole songs we are talking about. Lol how are they going to do that basketball scene. I wanna know. The teaser was a laugh. But I'm really curious and I think alot of other people are to and just won't admit it. I take back my bashing but i still think it's a joke. 😛
