I think the memories are copied as well in the process. If they're contained in the brain, which is a part of the physical body, then I don't see why they wouldn't.

In any case, the copying implies that they are copies- not the original, and therefore the original can be said to have died, without the existence of the person dying, so to speak. Philosophically speaking, it's actually quite interesting to think about what exactly constitutes someone as "dead," so I don't want to give a definitive answer, but I think that it is safe to say that the originals are dead, in any case.

I always feel bad if post just in response to something not directly related to the main topic, so I'll speculate a bit. It looks to me like someone from the Tokyo team manages to get 100 points this time to revive Kei, but it would be more interesting if someone chose to free themselves this time instead of reviving Kei, who will come back eventually. I like Kei though, so I'm not really sure what I want to happen.

I dont know if they could revive kurono though,he died outside of the gantz missions so i dont think hes marked down by gantz to be dead. That would be horrible if he was never revived T_T

But he still is in the database...

It's kind of interesting, now that I think about it. The 'original' really dies, and will be gone for good, but then Gantz copies the memories of the person from before he died. So actually they're not really revived.

And the 'real' Kishimoto never did partake in a Gantz mission. She just resumed her daily life.

I don't think Kishimoto will be revived again. And the reason why Kei didn't revive her was because he couldn't take seeing her clinging to Katou again? Just speculation though. >.<

Anyways, Gantz is very unpredictable. So who says Kurono will be revived back?

The ones who I think will die in this mission may be Sr. Psychic, Reika and the old man. Sr. Psychic's death has been foreshadowed plenty of times. I actually thought he would die in the Oni-mission. Reika will either die in this mission or quit Gantz, resuming her idol life. She just want to forget about Kei and everything that has happened. She can't 'take it' anymore... And the old man feels kind of 'useless' in the story. >.< I mean, without Kei he seems like background character. xD He's like the panda without Izumi. Unnecessary.
