Manga Burnout

Well, if you got burnout, you should try exploring as many other genres as possible. Sometimes, the good or interesting stuff isn't always as highly rated 'cos people don't like what they find in it(like not enough cute characters, not enough sex scenes, etc.).
Also, maybe try looking out for Request threads where people ask for interesting things and not the typical traits that define an average or typical mainstream manga.
That's how you won't run out of things to read. 🙂 For me: I just pick up anything that sounds interesting 'cos genre doesn't bother me.
And yes, I got bad manga burnout quite a few times so I started to explore and to look for new things to try.
And try doing other things, too? Like reading books, playing games, etc.?

yup, I get periods of burnout with manga, and have sometimes gotten to the stage where I don't read any for months at a time, then I pick it right up again! Although in terms of genre I've gotten to the stage where I'm reading mostly older stuff like seinen/ josei/ horror etc. I used to be a huge shoujo/ sometimes shounen fanatic but I've gotten really bored of the both genres. On top of that I've read most of the non-cliche stuff that there is around, so unless I find something really good that sounds interesting I won't read it anymore.
Since I don't zealously follow any specific genre,
this diagnosis is not familiar to me.

Lol yall should really just put the manga down for a few days or weeks, and go outside. Do something else for awhile. And limit how much you read, if you hold back you won't run out of the ones you like as fast.
I experience it from time to time, so if it happens I usually take a break from reading (I just download them so as not to lose track). The break usually last just a week but it could go as far as a month

Nah, I just get points were I don't want to read manga at all, then pick it back up a bit later. It happens with all my hobbies.

I'm the type of fan that comes in and out of fandoms/interests/hobbies/whatever you want to call it.
I've been through a whole year of reading manga and then the next 2 losing interest altogether, then I renew my interest and start to read manga again but lose it eventually, right now i'm totally interested again.
One thing I can say for sure is, when it comes to burn out, Anime defeats it, I have stopped watching Anime since I was about 14, I'm now 19 and no longer have the patience to deal with episodes, although Manga is currently like that too, but i'm getting back on it hopefully.
