New Poll - Collector

I'd collect whatever was the source material. If it originated as manga, I'd buy the manga volumes. If it started off as an anime, I'd buy the blu-rays. Wanna give more credit to the original creators.
But for light novels, I'd rather get the more popular source (~anime for Durarara)

Where's the 'all of the above' option. xD

It's anime>manga>other stuff for me, with preference given to anime if it's a long running manga because of the overall cost. I'm too poor for figure collecting 🤣 .
Derp, forgot that posts are nested if you use reply.

I gave up. It went like this: Started collecting manga > parent found out > thrown away.
Hell how much did they think I spent on those!? If this goes on a few times, you'd know how I feel.
Right now, I'm building my library of those web novels. Like, copy, paste, save, index, turn to audio files since I'm too lazy to read, put in iTunes, sort them, repeat. Way too much work, but healthy enough I suppose. No money spent, and no parent gonna be finding out anytime soon with my password in place. And I'd have a copy if they delete the novel lol.

I am a heavy collector of anime/vocaloid figures (addict I'd think is the word for my condition, yah, addict.) I buy what I consider well done fan art (though my walls can't take any more art now...I need more space!) And since finding the ability to buy music off of Amazon.co.jp, I've added buying many, many vocaloid (and some Utaite albums) from the site for the music ( <3 ), extras (sometimes), and artwork.
Avid, addict collector.

I already am a collector in some respects. Only manga (especially good ones out of print). Ohhhh didn't see the art book option. Where is the ability to "choose all that apply"?

Interesting poll this time. Money and space aside, I'd like to collect a lot of the listed things, physical manga/doujinshi having the highest priority.
Scanlations and fansubs are a weird option somehow though.

Well this poll doesn't allow you the ability of already knowing the language of japanese, chinese, and korean in depth so scanlations makes sense actually because even if you have physical manga volumes, there is such a limited number of translated manga. Same for fansubs. Don't forget the whole "aggregate manga sites" issue. Thus downloading and then collecting makes sense

I assume it's "What would you collect that you already don't." I collect manga already, of course, and dabble in figures. I voted for cels, because if money were no object, I'd LOVE to collect anime cels. They're one-of-a-kind, and were used to actually make an anime, which is neat.

That's horrible! I know of some people who only buy digital manga because they've had their home burn down and lost their collection - they don't want to go through that again. Having your parent do that is extra harsh.

Body pillows you say. How quaint. Haven´t you heard of this way more intimate way(even for ladies) to get to know your heroes. Japan please never change 😁 . Also no cosplay talk ?
+1 for the Link...LoL

Why is there no "All of the above" option?! Sigh. If I had the means to do it, I would collect anything and everything. As it is... I collect manga and anime, some related live-action shows and movies, a few plushies... and doujinshi. >w<

In my case, I collect scanlations of manga that doesn't have an English translation. (I have a whole external hard drive full of 'em. >w<) It's actually surprising and saddening just how many awesome manga have been published in English!
