Usually read online, unless I get impatient, other than that, I use Window Gallery (what my computer opens by default).
Works perfectly fine for me so I don't find a need to download a new program. 🙂
Although, does anyone know of a program which can make the manga files into a slideshow so I can just click "next" instead of closing / opening the page individually?

I do the same thing you do.
To do slideshow what I do is after I have download the manga file I click "Extract all Files" from a zip file and save the manga to my computer and then it gives the option for slideshow on the saved folder and when I am done I delete the manga.

I used winzip viewer and acdsee.
For online reading i used mangareader, mangafox, or visiting the scanlation groups' sites, etc.

I just read online, mainly due to the fact my computer is terrible and I just leave it in " Safe mode/networking". I tried alot of sites, but I find Mangafox is probably one of the better sites-although I dont go onto the scanalating sites. 😛
If one were to have a lengthy conversation with the wife of the 'x'th president of the United States where 'x' is defined as the number of years Bob Barker hosted 'The Price is Right' to the nearest year minus the amount of golden rings one would receive on the 5th day of Christmas in accordance to the traditional English Christmas carol 'The 12 Days of Christmas' multiplied by 4, what condition might they have?

I mostly read mangas on websites but when I download them, I use CDisplay.

I mostly read online at the scanlators sites (or batoto) but if not I use Irfanview. It's great, the only problem is I wish I could figure out a way to pre-zoom-in to a specific magnification and have it stay that way instead of having to zoom in every page.

When I first began reading manga I read it from OneManga, then I switched to MangaFox and am currently using MangaReader.

CDisplayEx. Online viewers only if I'm forced to (the manga is no longer available at the scanlators site) because it doesn't have the same quality and that is a shame considering how much work is put into scanlation.

I mostly use CoView since it's small and portable and doesn't leave any files behind. The only problem is sometimes the pages is misordered because of weird file names.. u.u'' Some sometimes I go with ComicRack.. Or something like that, I don't remember the name exactly.. xD

Prolly off topic but I'll risk it. 😛
I had the same problem with CDisplay. In my case it was because the pictures were named 1.png, 2.png etc, and CDisplay has the nasty "habit" of using literal sorting so it would display them like 1->10->11->...->19->2->20->21->...->29->3->30.... The solution was to rename the files to 001.png, 002.png etc. CDisplayEx doesn't have that problem.
Maybe it'll help somebody in the future if they have the same problem.

Yes, I know.. Actually I think it may be a windows problem because I've had my Windows do this too when my files are ordered by name.. I usually end up just using a renaming program to fix them all at once. x]] But it still annoys me that I have to go and fix it by making it 01, 02... 10, etc.
