In Twitter, when A LOT of people start writing using the same phrase or words like: "Libia" or " #thingsthedevilinvented " it can become a Trending Topic, which are shown in everybody's profile on twitter.
I really don't remember when, but the term "Ichigo & Rukia" became a (Worldwide) Trending Topic, meaning that lots of people around the world were talking about them.

Unfortunately, some people are fighting for the recognition of the first steps with us, @kyox and @Mi_Kurosaki, the true pioneers on this, because we were interviewed by some brazilian sites... but the truth is that the bleach fandom is monstruosly bigger than any people or solo community, so the credits are for all Bleach fans around the world.
