I don't purposely not read manga in public, I just rarely end up with time to read in public at all. 😐

I read in public all the time, but like some people say, it can get annoying. Especially when people who don't read as much manga as you do or only watch anime and they seem strangely excited to know someone who, quote 'read anime' like they do and doesn't stop talking so you can concentrate. Happens more often than not. But I don't care. 🤢

The only thing that is embarrassing for me is when I find something funny and I'm trying really hard not to laugh and make this really creepy smile and everybody stares at me. 😳 So, I usually put my hoodie over the bottom of my face up to my nose so no one can see my 'reading faces'. lol

If I were in Japan I would read manga in public (I have before actually). But not in america...

I don't.I occasionally do, but I tend to avoid it because it's an embarrassing hobby and people act like their all really dirty. On the other hand I do read my American Comics wherever I happen to be so I guess I'm just crazy.

Hell no. I might if I get an electronic book reader.
Most of the shonen manga I buy looks so girly. To make it worse, Viz is releasing them in pink and light blue covers when the Japanese release gets them in nice white covers.

No one gives a shit what trite garbage you write here.

I have nothing against reading it in public, I just tend to get distracted due to my surroundings and then I find that I'm still on the same page I was half an hour ago because I couldn't concentrate on it. And most of the times when I do read it in public, people start asking why it's read from right to left [ I live in Canada . ], and it's annoying explaining to them.

It's ok.I read often read manga in my school's reading block and when i'm finished my work.. And then i always get disturbed by someone when they come up to me and say "OMG YOU CAN READ JAP?" LOL
