I've recently been reading the manga Boku ni Hana no Melancholy and absolutely love it and was looking for a manga with similar characters, trope, and/or story!

The art is incredibly gorgeous in this manga! Although its quite tropy, I love the characters and the progress of their relationship. The heroine is reunited with her childhood friend, who is very cold and distant to her in the beginning, but after a while he warms up to her. If anyone has read this, you know their scenes are pure fluff and absolutely melt your heart! <3 Looking for a manga that has a similar vibe to this series, with the story being melancholic but also quite cute. The main male lead should be the broken. quiet type who does not show affection very easily but still totally cherishes the female lead, who is able to break down his walls.

Anyone know anything similar? I can only think of Jidokhage Kkeureoango Jidokhage Kiseuhago, which I have already read and also love!

Maybe Kodomo no Omocha? I haven't read either of the series that you mentioned, but the characters sound similar. The male lead is cold to the female lead at first. It is cute but not melancholic. I wouldn't say the art is spectacular (it is from the 90s).
